I would like to reset the extent after scrolling away from the section because the section header contains an overview map of areas that the user can zoom to for a closer look. This is accomplished by clicking on links that zoom to these areas. When the user leaves the section, I would like it to reset the section back to the overview of all the areas. Also, is it possible to allow the user to change the basemap on the fly? Ie. Let them see the area in either the imagery, streets, or topographic as its basemap background.? I saw it on one of the story map examples but neglected to bookmark the page. Thanks.

I would like to do two things 1. Click on a link that changes the main stage content back to the original map and the original extent 2. Have the main stage content reset to the original extent after leaving the section it resides in. Right now it returns to the last extent viewed. Can this be done, and if so, how? Many thanks

I have a Story Map series with several tabs that are linked a Story Map Journal. From this tab (aka "journal") I have a click here link that I want to have navigate to another tab. I put the URL in along with the &Entry=1 (First tab). The link takes me to the first tab but it opens another instance of the Story Map Series rather than stay in the current Story Map Series and simply go the the first tab. Can this be easily done? If so how. Many Thanks.

I had something similar happen to me when editing a feature dataset. I finally figured out that if you import a feature class into the feature dataset while you are editing and do NOT save your edits, all the data in the imported feature dataset gets blown away. If you save your edits, then this does not happen. If no edits are made and you exit the editing session (thus do not get prompted to save your edits) the imported feature class attribute data goes bye-bye. I was in and out of editing sessions so often that I did not pay attention to whether I was in an editing session when I imported a new feature class into the dataset. I was messing around with topolgy rules, adding data as I went along. Mainly my error, but ESRI programing rules should not allow you to be able to add features to a dataset during an edit session when this type of thing can happen. Thank goodness I work on copies and not the original data. Not sure this fits your situation but I came across this when searching for why my data was getting blown away and finally did my own troubleshooting based upon a momentary epiphany. If not you, then perhaps someone else will benefit from my post.
