Hi. I'm trying to decide if I create a JavaScript web interface to make users make some vector editions they do currently with a Desktop Software: - Draw manually (over a Basemap) points, lines and polylines, using snapping points (points, end of lines, intersections, center of circles) - Delete points, lines and polylines - Rotate a line or group of lines around a point - Move a line or group of lines with a base point - Move polylines and points (manually and to a point given by the coordinates) - Edit position of vertices of polylines and lines (manually and to a point given by the coordinates) - Create buffers around points, lines and polylines I wonder if it's easy to create this with the ArcGIS JavaScript API and where to find some examples. Thank you very much.

Hi. Using ArcGIS Server 10.0 with the ArcGIS JavaScript API, I would like to visualize any raster image (geoTIFF format) located within my PC Hard Disk in my web app. I've been browsing info on the Internet, but did not found any example. Is it possible? Thank you very much.

Hi. One of our customers is using IE7 as default web browser and their IT Department does not like other options like Firefox o Chrome, neither upgrading Internet Explorer. This customer is using a web GIS system based on the ArcGIS API JavaScript. I have been reading some benchmarking studies and IE7 is the slowest web browser: http://crave.cnet.co.uk/software/safari-4-benchmarked-42x-faster-than-ie-7-3-5x-faster-than-firefox-3-49301219/ Additionally, the last ArcGIS JavaScript API begins to use all the HTML5 functionalities (CSS3 transformations): http://blogs.esri.com/Dev/blogs/arcgisserver/archive/2011/12/15/Hardware-accelerated-map-navigation-with-CSS3.aspx an they are not supported by IE7. We are trying to find more arguments to persuade them to change the web browser. Any tip is welcome. Thank you very much.

Hi. Working with ArcGIS Server 10.0 I created this BaseMap: <layer label="OpenStreetMap" type="wms" visible="true" skipgetcapabilities="true" version="1.1.1"
url="http://maps.opengeo.org/geoserver/ows?"
visiblelayers="openstreetmap"
/> It won't work. It works ok in ArcGIS Desktop. I created other WMS connections in the Flex viewer and work correctly. What am I doing wrong? Thank you very much.

Hi. Working with Flex API and ArcGIS Server 10.0, I'm creating a map with several layers: one of them is a polygon one. When clicking on another layer (points or lines) and the the polygons are overlapped, it's impossible to select the values of the points or lines unless you hide/uncheck the polygons. I've tried by changing the layer order, but without any success. Any similar experience? Thank you very much.

Hi. We are planning to implement a web interface to browse/edit some layers of our information. They are minimal editions: buffers, some lines, parallels and rotate some elements, ... Are there enough examples in the 'ESRI Code Gallery' to do this? Would it be difficult to code/improve these examples? Have you tried OpenLayers/GeoExt/GeoExplorer solution? Do they integrate via WFS-T with ArcGIS Server? Could it be the solution for my needs? Thank you very much.

Hi. We are planning to install an brand new ArcGIS Server with a web interface made from scratch, so we are in the right moment to take the rightest decision. Is it a good idea to develop it by using the Silverlight API? Will ESRI give support for this technology? And Microsoft? Are JavaScript or Flex better solutions? Thank you very much!
