I have some level 1b ("uncorrected", DN's) Worldview 2 satellite imagery. To make this imagery useable, I would like to orthorectify it and correct it to top of atmosphere reflectance. My image files contain an .rpc file for orthorectification, and I can successfully orthorectify the image with my DEM. However, the resulting image no longer has sensor data to serve as inputs for calculating apparent reflectance.
Similarly, I can use the data in the .imd file to calculate apparent reflectance, but once I do so, I cannot use this file as an input in the "create ortho corrected raster dataset," as it will not accept that file as an input (maybe it is no longer associated with the .rpc data?) Does anyone know the correct order of operations to produce a top of atmosphere reflectance orthorectified image? This seems like it should be very doable! I am using ArcGIS pro 2.6.3

This doesn't help. In fact if I just look at the properties in ArcCatalog it shows a pixel depth of 8-bit. If I add data to ArcMap through the "add data" icon I get the same thing, 8-bit.

I have a geotiff file of Worldview-3, 8-band, satellite imagery. When I view the file in R it indicates the data are 16-bit. A quick view from GDALinfo indicates that it is: "16-bit, unsigned". Similarly, there are a lot more than 255 levels in the raw data. The values for each band range from 1-2047. However, when I bring this file into ArcMap and view its properties it shows pixel depth of "8-bit, unsigned integer" and the levels are 0-255 for each band. Is there a way to import this with all of the data? I am just dragging this file from ArcCatalog into Arcmap, is there a better way to import this file with the raw data? The RGB plots look fine, but I don't want to throw away data for classifications later. Thanks,

I have installed this patch, but it does not do anything to help populate the information needed to calculate apparent reflectance. I am not sure if this is a problem with the apparent reflectance function or the way the VW-3 data are interpreted but it still does not work.

I would like to use the Apparent Reflectance Function with some Worldview-3 multiband imagery. However, the appropriate corrections do not populate from the metadata that is supplied by Digital Globe. I know there are a number of patches out there for desktop 10.3 with respect to the Worldview-3 imagery. Does anyone know if any of those patches resolve this issue, or if there are plans in place to make that function work with this imagery?
