When collecting data through the app while offline, will field users need to manually push a submit button after reaching wifi or cell service, or can/will the app send it automatically once a connection is available?

Will we be able to publish an image service to a federated ArcGIS Server site in a coming release? Or, will there be a workflow through Portal?

I had been doing some testing and everything was working well. I had assigned permissions to a role and placed my enterprise account in that role. It was difficult to track credit usage with that account so I created a new ArcGIS account and added it to the same role as my enterprise account. The new ArcGIS account does not have the ability to create an imagery layer though. Screen captures are attached. Any ideas? Maybe we can only assign to enterprise accounts?

When adding open data groups to a hub site it would be nice to be able to limit returned items by geographic extent (or other geography). For example, if a US federal agency has an open data group with items that are cover many area of the US and I'm interested in ones that apply to a certain state it would be nice to have that option to limit by area of interest for our Hub site.

Peter, for users that need to use Pro offline, do you generate one Single-Use license file for all users to download from your institutional file share system? Or, do you generate a unique Single-Use license file one for each user?

Other than a screen capture, is there a way to export or save a high-resolution graphic to place in a manuscript? I'd like to put one in a Word document.

Thank you for this information. One question: What is the rationale for disabling offline licensing for ArcGIS Pro via Named User licensing?

Okay, I'll go that route. Hopefully the ArcGIS API for Python will include the functionality in the future. Thanks, -Bruce

Thank you for that information simo. I'll dig into the replica function a bit and see what I can come up with. #2 (download) sounds like it would work well for my needs. But, I can't seem to get it to work for a feature service item. For example, how do you download the shapefile for this item: https://data-nctcoggis.opendata.arcgis.com/datasets/1990-census-block-groups I can get properties like the item title and item type and I can download the metadata. On the item page (https://data-nctcoggis.opendata.arcgis.com/datasets/1990-census-block-groups) I can select Download > Shapefile. How do I download the shapfile for this item using the API? Thank you. -Bruce

Using item.export arcgis.gis module — arcgis 1.4.2 documentation I'm able to download data to a zip file from a feature service like this (I''m the item owner and an admin on the site): from arcgis.gis import *
gis = GIS(username="user_name", password="password")
data_item_id = "abcde12345"
data_item = gis.content.get(data_item_id)
output_file = data_item.export(title=data_item_id,export_format="Shapefile",wait=True)
output_file.download(save_path = "D:\\temp\\data\\") The documentation states: "Available only to users with an organizational subscription. Invokable only by the service item owner or an administrator." How do I export data from a public feature service item available from an organization of which I am not a member? The data are available from an Open Data site and I can choose 'Download' using the web page but how do I export the data using the Python API? I have a number of items I would like to download. Thank you for any help. I'm stuck. -Bruce

Along with being able to display primary raster footprints it would be nice to be able to label the footprint with data from an attribute. FAQ: Is it possible to label an image service with an attribute in a footprint?
