I'm passing as SR 102100 (Web Mercator). Isn't is based on a metric coordinate system? Cheers Bernd

Hi, when I'm requesting the length by using the Geometry Service, the response is alway in miles. In ArcGIS Server 10.1 it is possible to pass a unit. In ArcGIS Server 9.31 it is not possible. How could I configure this? Cheers, Bernd

Thank you the out of memory hint. So I guess this is the problem. I'm running both IE8 and IE9 as 32-bit on Win7. I'm already using client-side bitmap rendering (heatmap) for displaying the data, which is really fast. Its just for knowing where the limitation are, so we can tell this our customers before. cheers, Bernd

Thank you for the link. But it does not answer the question for the error. In IE9 my client can´t display 2000 features at all. IE8 does. Is it an issue with IE9? Anyone else had the same problems? Cheers, Bernd

Hi, I have a really simple JS mapping application which is just displaying features on a GraphicsLayer. I`m using QueryTask to load the features. If I running it on FF 14 and Chrome 21 its displaying about 8000 features without any problem. (Ok, if I have more that 2000 its getting slower). IE8 can also handle this number of features. But its getting very slow. When I use IE9, the browser can display about 900 features. But if I want to display more than 2000 features IE9 ends in "SCRIPT14: error -2147024882". This error occurs just before QueryTask calls the onComplete function. Is there any limitation for IE9? Cheers, Bernd

I discovered a workaround. After resizing the browser window, we need to call the resize() method of the map object. This seems to update internally the margin/position of the map. This look like that the map object does not update its margin correctly in IE8/IE9. Bernd

The map is integrated in an external page. So I can´t use Dojo Layout. This external page is using 'margin-left: auto' to center always the map. Regards, Bernd

Hi, I´ve a problem with the drawtool. If I´m using the margin-left attribute, the drawn geometries will always be shown with a offset. For example if I set the margin-left to 100px, the offset of the geometry will be 100 pixel. This behavior occurs only on IE8 and IE9. FF and Chrome will show the geometries without a offset. If I use padding-left instead of margin-left it works fine. If you use this example: http://help.arcgis.com/en/webapi/javascript/arcgis/help/jssamples/toolbar_draw.html and modify the body style to: <style type="text/css"> html, body { height: 100%; width: 500px; padding: 0; margin-left: 100px; } </style> you can see the problem. Is there any solution for this problem? Can I set somewhere a offset? Regards, Bernd

I tested the new ArcGIS for Flex 2.4. The zooming behavior is now working as expected 😄 Only the performance is still not the best (if you compare it to native application). But I think this is a Flex issue itself. Hopefully AIR 3.0 will be faster. Bernd

Hi, I'm developing an iPhone app using the ArcGIS API for Flex. Everything is working fine except the zooming. If I'm using two fingers to zoom, the map pans first and zooms then. The map should not pan in this case. The zoom behavior is also not what the user is expecting. The map zooms only to the levels of the layers and not smoothly 'between' the layers. Is there any why to enable a zoom behavior like in the native iOS ArgGIS API? If not, is it planed for future releases of the Flex API? Regards, Bernd

Hi, the problem was related to the AIR 2.6 SDK. With the new AIR 2.7 SDK it is working fine. I can now package iOS apps using the agslib 2.3.1 and run them on the iPhone.

Hi, I'm trying to build an iOS ArcGIS Flex application with Flex 4.5.0. Simple apps could be build easily by following this tutorial: http://va.lent.in/blog/2011/03/25/air2-6-app-for-ios/ I could also build an app with the agslib 2.3.1 which is displaying maps as expected. But this does only work in the Flash Builder "Preview" on my desktop. When I try to run it on my iPhone, the app is freezing. So I tried to package the app with the ipa-debug target, but the build always fail when I include the agslib. During the build a window is popping up: Title: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Content: Runtime Error! Program: C:\WINDOWS\system32\java.exe Does anyone managed to run an iOS app including the agslib on Windows? Best Regards, Bernd
