Our data is hosted on ArcGIS Server 10.0 Every request goes through a proxy server. So the clientaccesspolicy.xml is NOT allowing my silverlight to access the REST endpoint. Code: 4004 Cannot access REST endpoint. This only happens when using my local web dev sever in VS 2010. If the network admin opens up the proxy (*) - then anyone can access it (including my test server in Silverlight), but this is obviously a security issue. Question: How do you alter the clientaccesspolicy.xml (or the proxy server) to allow a local VS web server (http://localhost:port/projectsitename...) to access the REST end point?

I need assistance running ArcMap built-in toolbar commands in vb.NET. Here is a simple Sub that paused my drawing in VBA. Public Sub pauseDrawing() Dim pCmdItem As ICommandItem Set pCmdItem = Application.Document.CommandBars.Find(arcid.PanZoom_PauseDrawing) pCmdItem.Execute End Sub What is the equivelant to the above in vb.NET? I realize the ArcID is not available directly in .NET. I have searched several sites for the solution, and found some that seem like they should work, but they do not. If anyone can post a snippet, including all IMxDocument and IApplication initialization statements, that would be helpful. ArcGIS: 10.0 Visual Studio: 2010 SDK: .NET

FYI to all - The problem appears to be the following: We were at 9.3 using SDE connections. We upgraded SDE to v10. The service, server name, databases - all remained the same. However, we have to go into our existing .mxds and change all the sources of the feature classes to the same server again. I know, it doesn't make sense. Long story short - you have to re-establish a connection to SDE 10 if you were at v9.3. ArcCatalog 10 does not recognize the old connection to the same server.

I've never ran into your specific error, but whenever I get an error dealing with "State ID" - I compress the geodatabase immediately. Not sure if that will solve the issue, but that's what I do. Good luck to you.

Using ArcSDE/ArcMap 10 with Oracle 11g. Every time I drag an object from Catalog (in SDE) to ArcMap, it forces me to select a "transactional version". Well, the object I want in the map (standalone table) isn't even registered with the geodatabase, so it is obviously not registered as versioned. It gives me the option of selecting a transactional verison or a historical version - which makes no sense. Why is ArcMap forcing me to select a version - when one doesn't exist? Any ideas???

I am attempting to Direct Connect to an SDE Oracle service. Using sde : oracle11g for the service string just stopped working as of today. I get error "Server library could not be loaded" I have 4 Oracle homes on my machine, only one of which is 11g. (11g Client, the others are 10g) I am guessing it is b/c of my other Oracle homes on my machine. Using oracle10g works. Anyone run into this?
