Similar to the JSAPI,
e.target.createDynamicLayerInfosFromLayerInfos()
Is is possible to get the Dynamic Layer Infos when the Leaflet Dynamic layer loads?
Thanks

Thanks for the response, but that defeats the whole purpose of what I'm trying to accomplish. I do not want to go into each and every error handler in this project and add new code to the error handlers. With jQuery, its as simple as $(document).ajaxError(function (event, jqxhr, settings, thrownError) { });

Is it possible to override all task request (AJAX) error handlers? This would be for all tasks such as Query or Identify tasks. I need to add specific actions to the error handlers and do not wish to manually add this to all existing error callback code. EDIT - Found this solution using Dojo ioPublish IO Pipeline Topics — The Dojo Toolkit - Reference Guide Which does work. However, this stackexchange post says that extr overrhead is incurred using ioPublish. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/4781018/dojo-intercepting-xhr-calls So I guess now the question is, will extra over head be incurred if only subscribing to the error topic? EDIT 2 - Turns out ioPublish error handler does not catch 401 errors. ESRI, please provide a solution for a global error handler.

Does ESRI provide any JSAPI mapping files? This would be handy for tracking bugs in systems like Raygun4js.

That's disappointing. It would be nice to use the sugar syntax when you have to load many ESRI modules. It gets quite messy using the standard syntax. Maybe in JSAPI 4.0, ESRI will just use require.js and drop the Dojo loaders?

I'd like to use the Require.js Sugar Syntax for loading JSAPI modules, i.e.: define(function (require) { var map= require('esri/map'), //do something with map }); but when I try to instantiate a new Map object, an error is thrown that says "undefinedModule". How can we make this work? Message was edited by: Brian Behling

Hello. I have a feature layer set to On Demand mode. The number of features that are returned on the update-end event are different than the number of features that are rendered in the map. Is this a bug or is there some property that needs to be set to only return features in the map extent on the update-end event? Its looks like the API is setting some buffer around the map extent and then returning the features in that buffer.

Thanks. I was able to find that library now, but the example no longer works. The mouse icon seems to flicker, as if its trying to change the icon, then icon stays as an arrow and does not convert to the icon I specify.

According to this example: http://help.arcgis.com/en/sdk/10.0/arcobjects_net/componenthelp/index.html#//0023000000rr000000 I need to make a reference to ESRI.ArcGIS.Utility but that library is not registered or even installed with the SDK. Is the example above not updated? If the ESRI.ArcGIS.Utility does not exist anymore, how can I set the mouse cursor to a custom mouse icon?

The API docs say the queryIds method returns a list of ObjectIDs. Is that a typo, or does the method really return a list of ObjectIDs? If the docs are truly correct, why on earth would we ever want to get a result of ObjectIDs? What we would want returned is a FeatureSet. Can anyone verify if this is correct or not? https://developers.arcgis.com/en/javascript/jsapi/featurelayer-amd.html#queryids

Curious to know if there is a default timeout on edit workspaces? An app makes edits to an SDE feature class. The app's edit code is within an edit operation block. Small datasets work fine, but when processing very large datasets (millions) this edit pre-processing takes several hours. Once the the pre-processing is complete on this large dataset and its ready to push the edits onto SDE, the app crashes. The error thrown is stating that I need to be in an edit session, but the code IS wrapped in an edit session. So somehow, that edit session got closed. Perhaps due to a timeout?

FYI, Got this to work by destroying all object references to the SDE workspace, calling the garbage collector, creating a new SDE workspace, finding the temporary version created, then deleting it. There really needs to be a special SDE workspace interface with a disconnect() method. Marshal.ReleaseComObject(sdeWorkspace); sdeWorkspace = null; //remove any other references to the workspace such as tables or cursors GC.Collect(); IWorkspace deleteVersionWorkspace = openSDE(); IVersionedWorkspace versionedWorkspace = (IVersionedWorkspace)deleteVersionWorkspace; IVersion versionDelete = versionedWorkspace.FindVersion(versionNum); versionDelete.Delete();

When I try to delete a version, even after stopping the edit operations, ArcObjects is telling the version is in use and it wont delete it. I tried setting all objects that are referenced by the version object to and calling the garbage collector like in this post http://forums.esri.com/Thread.asp?c=93&f=993&t=81960 but that doest work. Also tried setting the version access to public, still no go. Even tried tried creating another object derviced from a versionedWorkspace, still nothing. Also checked for locks, and there are no locks on this version. Any one else have success deleting a dynamically created version? Wondering if this is a bug. Random random = new Random(); string versionNum = random.Next(0, 1000000000).ToString(); IVersion targetVersion = (IVersion)sdeWorkspace; IVersion newVersion = targetVersion.CreateVersion(versionNum); //IMultiuserWorkspaceEdit muWorkspaceEdit = (IMultiuserWorkspaceEdit)newVersion; IWorkspaceEdit workspaceEdit = (IWorkspaceEdit)newVersion; IVersionEdit4 versionEdit = (IVersionEdit4)workspaceEdit; //muWorkspaceEdit.StartMultiuserEditing(esriMultiuserEditSessionMode.esriMESMVersioned); workspaceEdit.StartEditing(false); workspaceEdit.StartEditOperation(); //Do some edits versionEdit.Reconcile4(targetVersion.VersionName, true, false, false, false); versionEdit.Post(targetVersion.VersionName); workspaceEdit.StopEditOperation(); workspaceEdit.StopEditing(true); targetVersion = null; workspaceEdit = null; versionEdit = null; GC.Collect(); IEnumLockInfo test = newVersion.VersionLocks; ILockInfo test2 = null; while((test2 = test.Next()) != null) { //no locks present } newVersion.Delete(); //ArcObjects says version is in use
