I have the same problem, it doesn't show the difference between the selection and all records. This is a really annoying problem. Only solution is to create a table to get the total, or use ArcMap. I opened a support issue with my local ESRI office. Update from ESRI: - This is confirmed as bug - They suggested workaround: https://support.esri.com/en-us/knowledge-base/how-to-bypass-limitations-for-charts-using-data-from-en-000027747

Hi, I was trying to find out the same. On the page "https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/arcgis-pro/imagery/deep-learning-with-arcgis-pro-tips-tricks-part-2/" was the following observation from ESRI "Hi Alison – Inferencing on the world imagery basemap has been disabled. Currently, programmatic requests made against the world imagery basemap is violating the terms of use of the basemap. Hope this helps, and I’m glad you are trying out the workflows -Vinay" Doesn't seem to be possible. Best regards, Bart

I solved the problem. You can use the lmutil program which is installed with the license server. Ths don't need any administrative privileges. You can list the licences with “lmutil lmstat” Example: lmutil lmstat -c -a "Path to License File" You can remove the license with “lmutil lmremove” Example: lmutil lmremove -c "Path License File" FEATURE USER CLIENT_MACHINE “Display Information” The syntax needs some attempts, with the following links you’ll find information how to use these commands: https://support.esri.com/en/technical-article/000006728 https://imedea.uib-csic.es/master/cambioglobal/Modulo_V_cod101615/matlab_7_4/win32/help/base/install/pc/f2-46589.html Bart

Hello all, We have our ArcGIS license manager on a computer where only our colleagues from the system administrator group have administrative privileges. Whenever we want to view the license usage we have to ask them for help. I would like to know if there exists a possibility to view the license usage as a non administrator through ArcPY script or view the license usage from another computer which has administrative privileges? Thanks all, Bart-Jan Schoenmakers Statistics Portugal

Hi Johannes, Thank you for this example and the link of the help. I easily managed to get an example to work. I only knew the return dictionary for multiple fields, but dictionaries are so much more useful and powerful. I thought I had to develop a trigger in Oracle. Bart

Hello, Does anyone knows if it is possible with a Calculation Attribute Rule to append a record to another table? My objective is whenever a point is edited to write a record to a table. I’ve been looking around the forum and the help and this doesn’t seem possible in Arcade, however it might be that I missed something. Thanks all, Bart-Jan Schoenmakers Statistics Portugal

Thanks Brian for your very complete answer. I've to check with my local ESRI office what are the possibilities for an additional ArcGIS Server license only to use the ArcPY. But as you referred the most logical will be using the ArcGIS API for Python and additional 3rd source package. Bart

Hello, I’m looking for some help or experiences of people who installed the ArcPY package on a Linux Python server. We have a Python Server running on a Virtual Linux Machine. On this server we would like to place the ArcPY and ArcGIS packages. We have 2 problems. First is installation of ArcPY and the 2nd is assuring a license. ArcPY seems to be available from Conda, but installing it gives some problems. The second problem seems more complicated. The only solution I saw was an installation of ArcGIs Server. However, we do not want to do that, because ArcGIS Server is installed on a dedicated server. ArcGIS is not available for linux, only the license manager. Has anyone any experience using arcpy on a dedicated python server on linux? Thanks all, Bart-Jan Schoenmakers Statistics Portugal

Happened the same to me when upgrading to 2.8, didn't find any solution. Would it be possible to define something in .condarc file? Downgrading to AGPRO 2.7 might help, until ESRI solves this problem.

I stumbled on this post when creating my python arcgis environment, so this reply may be a little bit late. I also used the .condarc file to successfully to specify my proxy server. There might be a problem with the format of the definition of http and https. In my case, I include the domain, user and password, like this: http: http://DOMAIN\USER:PASSWORD@PROXY_SERVER:8080 Like mentioned in your post you can test the proxy definition at the conda prompt, to check the possibility to install any new package. Your example "conda install untools". This should be enough to test proxy settings. As Jonathan referred this is a python issue.

For people using querys directly in the database I implemented this function to obtain the relation with points and the polygon they are in. The function creates a new table. Careful, don't use big datasets, the process is too slow. CREATE TABLE OUTPUTTABLE AS SELECT FC_input_point.FIELD1, FC_input_point.FIELD2, FC_POLYS.FIELD1, FC_POLYS.FIELD2 FROM FC_input_point pts, FC_POLYS polys WHERE sde.st_contains(polys.shape, pts.shape) = 1;

No we didn't yet. When we started working with attribute assistant, ArcGIS Pro didn't have this option yet. Our experience in using the attribute assistant is that not all users always use the extension. Having a server side solution gives more guarantees.

Michael, In the case described it was not feasible, there were too many records. Also on Oracle level the view was too big to use. Right now we are using a few “spatial” database views, but they don’t have that many records (not more then 2000). For big views we now always work with dynamic tables which are created using the geographical dataset and the related table. Since the data isn’t updated that frequently we don’t mind that each day the new changes are reflected. Hope this helps you. Bart

I can share with you our experience working with "spatial" database views in Oracle. Initially we wanted to work with a view of about 3.5 million records, but realized this isn’t feasible. Instead of working with a view we created the table structure and refresh the data every day (TRUNCATE and INSERT). This table is registered in our database. We use it in Python scripts and several mapservices. We never delete the table and only refresh the data. That's why there are no problems with the spatial extent of the data which we also had.

Yes we are using the attribute assistant. But since not everyone has this extension active and we are changing to ArcGIS Pro we would like to have a database trigger. We already use a trigger for new points.
