Good day, I am also experiencing this issue in my reports when using the ESRI map in Power BI service. I tried both in Edge and Chrome. I'm running on VPN, but I have people in our Houston office (not on VPN) experiencing the same issue.

Thank you for your reply Jon. I am symbolizing by Company Name (currently 22 company names) in the Color field. In the Location field, i use the City Name. Lat/Long and Tooltips are the only other fields I use. I'd be looking for better control of using multiple symbols (ex. our location is a circle, competitor is a triangle, key customer is a square) and color locking to avoid duplication and color changes when i upload updates. Is the current version of ArcGIS capable of this in Power BI? I use the Power BI Desktop App, which updates automatically as Microsoft pushes updates out. My company would definitely not want the layers to be public. I will read up on the Workflow / Join feature. Thank you for sharing that. Mark

Good day, I wanted to find out if upgrading to a license will give me the abilities of what my boss is asking for. I have a map built in Power BI and it displays our branch locations in comparison to some of our competitors and key customers using their Lat/Long. I am looking to make the different categories above different icon shapes, as well would like to lock in the colors. Currently, when i make an update the colors randomize and often duplicate colors. Also, they asked about possibly incorporating logo's to data points. Is this possible with a standard license? If a specific license is required, is it just the report Author or all data consumers require the license as well? Is building base layers for branches vs competitors vs key customers they way to achieve our goal? Can i have multiple layers on the same map? Thank you in advance Mark

Good day, I searched the web for help not finding an answer, but maybe I am wording my questions wrong. Here is what worked: I am mapping our customer activity and our branch locations as well as some of our competitors locations. I appended our branch locations and competitors to the customer data table. I use the color field to differentiate our customer locations, our branches and competitors. Works great! Now my boss wants to filter to a specific customer, then have the ability to add in our branches and or competitors to the map by filtering them in. Because our customer data and branch info are on the same table, when you filter to a customer everything else disappears from the table. How can i build my map with customer info and branch info on separate tables, so my boss can filter to a customer then display our branches and competitors as applicable? Thank you in advance! Mark

Any update on a fix for this save settings issue? I use the Power BI Desktop app. It automatically takes all monthly updates from Microsoft. Based on reading this and the PBI community logs, sounds like an issue from the May release of updates?

Thanks Josh, publishing to the public is fine since we do that on our own website anyways, so that is no problem at all. Thanks for the information. I will do some reading on your site about adding a layer, see if my team is good with it, then pursue a license if needed. Have a great day!! Thank you Josh and Anthony for the responses. My branch location data is static, and the drilling activity is updated weekly. So I cannot use both in the model. If I use an additional layer, does that require all my Power BI report consumers to also have a subscription? Good day, I am using ArcGIS in Power BI. I am trying to pin our 80 Canadian branch locations on the map, it caps at 10 locations using "Pins". The data i am displaying is drilling rig activity by latitude and longitude. I want to show the location of my branches in relation to where the activity is happening. Is a paid subscription to esri the only way to do what i want to do? Thank you, Mark
