Greetings. I am using the GP Widget in version 2.5 to insert records into a feature class. All works well. As a confirmation, I am returning a recordset of the attributes and that is displayed on the output of the GP wizard as a table. This too works fine. The issue is one of the fields is a DATE field. The correct date is being inserted, but in the data grid, the date integer code is being used. I looked in the "GPOutputRecordSetParamItemRenderer.mxml" but there is no obvious spot to apply a date formatting to the returned value. Is there a way to apply proper date formatting to date values in the outpur recordset in the GP widget? Thanks, Chris Chris Did you ever find a solution to this I am having the same issue and cannot change the date formatting. Thanks, Andrew

Hi, I have created a geoprocessing widget and i am having some trouble with the date fields in it. The field in SDE is a datetime field but my data itself is just a date: 5/14/201400.00.0000 When i try to select data in a range i cant seem to get one specific date without putting the range from the day before. for example i would need to put 5/13 and 5/14 to get anything on 5/14. I think it has to do with the date string being passed from the widget to the geoprocessing service. is there any way i can pass just simply the dd/mm/yyyy and remove the time from being passed. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Andrew Radford

Andrew, So here is a screenshot of one of my ArcGIS Servers. Notice CountyCrimeMap as a (FS) and a (MS). Hey Robert thanks for your help. I think i have identified the main issue. I am using ArcGIS for Server Basic which only allows for publishing feature services. It also seems to not label feature services as well. do you know of a way around this or is upgrading the only solution? Thanks, Andrew

Ok I understand. For some reason the App builder is taking the folders as a feature service (FS) and will not let me add them as an entire folder. How ever my manager page is calling them a map service. I would think this would be an ArcGIS server setting and not handled by the App Builder. Thanks, Andrew

Yes, I am creating a service in ArcGIS for Desktop and then adding the service in the App Builder as an operational layer.

Hi, I am trying to depict the flow of electrical lines in the ArcGIS for Flex Viewer. I have tried creating the flow arrows on the layer itself and also tried adding it as a separate layer. I am using arrow at the end symbology in ArcGIS for Desktop. But when i add the services into the flex viewer they just show as a solid black line, and dont depict direction. Is there something i am missing? The viewer is version 3.6. Thanks, Andrew

Which tool? Have you checked the help to see if the tool is available with an Advanced license only? The tool is a table to table conversion. Im sure that tool is standard with ArcGIS for Desktop Advanced.

Hi, I am have written a python script to import a table into SDE. The script works fine when it is run from Pythonwin but when I run the script as scheduled task I get Error 000824 The tool is not licensed. I am running from the same the same server in both situations. I have ArcGIS for Desktop Advanced and ArcGIS for Server Enterprise basic installed and running. Any clue as to why it works in the IDE but not as a scheduled task? Thanks, Andrew

Hi, I am trying to use the field calculator in a stand alone python script. I am trying: expression = '(!"infield"!)*2' arcpy.CalculateField_management(inshape,infield,expression,"PYTHON"). I am getting this error: ExecuteError: ERROR 000539: Invalid field "infield". I think the syntax is right... any thoughts are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have added a feature service from my ArcGIS for Server into ArcGIS Online. The data itself is in a versioned SDE. I am able to view and edit the data however I am not able "view table" in ArcGIS online. ArcGIS Server is 10.0 Does anyone have any idea why this could be? Thanks
