Thanks Tim. But, in this case, I'll just get the terrain slope where the road is located, and not the road slope. For example, sometimes the road is located on a downhill, but not crossing the slope, but following the line of same altittude. I could solve my problem spliting my polilyne at vertices (or at determined meters), calculating the slopes by using "add Z information" tool and grouping it. Cheers!

Hi All, I have a road network polyline feature class and a DEM raster. I used the ??Interpolate Shape? tool (3D Analyst) to generate a 3D polyline, where is possible to see the topographic profile of each road segment. I need to classify my roads in different classes of slope (e.g.: 0-3%, 3-8%, >8%), based on the Z value of the 3D roads. One way to do that is using the ??Add Z information? tool, but the point is that I need to classify it with more details, I mean, regardless the segment division of my feature class. For example, if I have a 5 km segment, instead of calculate the average slope value for the segment, I want to classify it in different classes of slope, and split this segment for each class. Any idea? Tks!

Hi all, I have several images (different years, sources, types and tiles that are part of a moisaic), and I need to build a Geodatabase (ArcSDE - multiuser) basically to store and view this images (I intend to publish in the future, maybe using Flex or even through ArcReader). I'll not need to perform any process with this images, such as georreferencing, classification, filtering, etc. Well, as a begginer in GDB with images, I have some questions: - I'm using the ArcGIS Server Basic Enterprise, do I need the Standard version for my purposes? - Will I need the Image Extension? What are the benefits of using this extension? - Will I need to use ArcGIS Image Server? By what I searched on internet, it looks like I have different options to do this, but I can't see clearly the ways and which one to follow... Thanks!

Thanks Andrew! It worked very well. Now, I need to find a way to define if the slope is negative or positive dependig on my traffic direction, I guess I'll use two fields (one for each direction) for that. Arthur

Hi everybody, I have a road network database and I need to classify it by slope in classes (ie. 0-3%, 3-6%, >6%). In order to do that, I have the contours (lines), the mass point for altimetry and I can generate a DEM or slope raster with this data. But, as the slope value for each segment depends on the angle that the road segment will cross the terrain, it doesn't look like having a simple solution. It could be possible if there is a way to assign, for each segment, the values of initial and end altittude, based on the contours (like when the roads cross the contours)....but I have no idea how to do that. Any idea? Thanks! Arthur Vrechi

Thanks Jay! It worked! I use it with more than 600 points and runs fast. Arthur Vrechi

Hello All, I created a OD Cost Matrix using some origins and one destination, and it's working well. I would like to know if is possible to show the routes between the origins and the destination, instead of showing just a straight line. Thanks! Arthur Vrechi

Thanks a lot Bill, The second option (internally buffering the polygon) worked very well. Actualy, I adjusted the number 0.71 cellsizes for my accuracy necessity. Regards, Arthur Vrechi

Hello, I need to clip a raster image based on a polygon shape. I used the "Extract by mask" tool, but I need to clip only the pixels wich are completely inside the polygon (and not the pixels wich have just the centroid inside the polygon). Also, I tried to convert the raster into polygon, to select the interested informations by location (using "Select by location" tool). But the "Raster to polygon" tool merges pixels with the same information, and it merges pixels that are inside and outside the polygon mask. If the conversion tool could make one polygon for each pixel, I could solve my problem, but I don't know how to do it. Any ideia? Thanks!
