I use this code to select element on map and then call my change value function: Private Sub UIToolControl3_MouseDown(ByVal Button As Long, ByVal Shift As Long, ByVal x As Long, ByVal y As Long) Dim pMxApp As IMxApplication Dim pMxDoc As IMxDocument Dim pMap As IMap Dim pActiveView As IActiveView Dim pEnvelope As IEnvelope Set pMxApp = Application Set pMxDoc = Application.Document Set pMap = pMxDoc.FocusMap Set pActiveView = pMap Set pEnvelope = pMxDoc.CurrentLocation.Envelope pEnvelope.Expand pMxDoc.SearchTolerance, pMxDoc.SearchTolerance, False 'Refresh the old selection to erase it pActiveView.PartialRefresh esriViewGeoSelection, Nothing, Nothing 'Perform the selection using a point created on mouse down pMap.SelectByShape pEnvelope, pMxApp.SelectionEnvironment, True keiskr "gatves", "svarba", "1" 'this is my change value function, to change value for selected features End Sub Of course you would need to add UI Tool Control first.

Hello, I need to find out what symbol name (in style gallery) symbolization symbols has. To do this I get all symbols from renderer one by one and compare them with all style gallery symbols. The problem is - it is hard to compare objects - to be specific ISymbolFill objects. I have to check if it is the IMultiLayerFillSymbol and then check all layers and all values one by one. I am wondering if there is any simpler way to do this -- find the name of the symbol. Auris, GIS engineer

Hello, maybe somebody of you have worked with both AutoCad and ArcGis? I want to import AutoCad 3d Models to ArcScene and there are many problems. First I found out that only 3d faces are displayed filled with color like polygons in ArcScene. However, the table which was yellow in AutoCad, became grey in ArcScene. Do you know any way to correctly import AutoCad drawings to GIS?
