You can ask your client to create an empty File Geodatabase using their Desktop 10.4 and provide it to you, if that is all you need. I would still suggest you check the Client and geodatabase compatibility, and make sure the kind of data you are creating\using is accessible using older clients or not. There is a list of things mentioned in that link, which may not be supported and hence leading to your client getting the error. Example from that link: Older ArcGIS clients can open, query, edit, and save data in newer release geodatabases, but they cannot open datasets that participate in newer functionality. You will encounter the following error messages when you try to access a newer type of dataset from an older ArcGIS client: The version of the Geodatabase client is incompatible with the dataset and cannot open it. Failed to add data, unsupported data type.

The version for file geodatabases has not changed since 10.1, which is version 10, like you mentioned. Client and geodatabase compatibility The version for file geodatabases has not changed since 10.1. The version for mobile geodatabases has not changed since ArcGIS Pro 2.7. However, if you need to create an older version of File geodatabase like 9.3, or 9.2, you can use the 'Create File Geodatabase' tool and select the required version in the 'File Geodatabase Version' parameter of the tool. Where are you getting the error - ArcGIS Desktop or ArcGIS Pro? Are you installing both the ODBC drivers on every client machine? Which version of Microsoft ODBC driver 17 did you install? Try installing the latest available Version 17.10.6 and check.

@BlairPellegrino Was facing the same issue. In our case, we had turned off visibility of the SHAPE field in Field Design (ArcGIS Pro) before publishing. Once the service was republished with the SHAPE field, the Select and 'Zoom To' works as expected.

Can we thus safely assume pg13.13 is compatible with ArcGIS Server 10.9.1? Yes, as PostgreSQL 13.3 (64 bit) is listed as the base supported version. And with ArcPro 3.1/3.2? Yes, as PostgreSQL 13.12 (64 bit) is the base supported version for ArcGIS Pro 3.2 and PostgreSQL 13.6 (64 bit) is the base supported version for ArcGIS Pro 3.1. So they both Support PostgreSQL 13.13. Does ESRI recommend acquiring supported postgres installation (for windows) for download from My Esri, instead of postgresql.org ? Is there any potential issue if the installation is acquired from postgresql.org especially when the version needed is not yet available from My Esri for example? In the link it mentions: "Esri tests and certifies PostgreSQL installations that are available from PostgreSQL.org. For each PostgreSQL release that Esri supports, available PostGIS modules are also tested and certified. No other modules extending PostgreSQL functionality are included in Esri certification." So you should be fine with both.

Thank you to the Esri team for this much needed integration in ArcGIS Pro itself. A couple of suggestions from a quick look: The Geodatabase Release in the report states 3.0.0 regardless of the actual geodatabase version. Even for an old 10.x.x gdb it states 3.0.0. Possibility to include the Summary section in the PDF/HTML formats as well? Add a hyperlink to go back to the top of the Page/Summary section in PDF/HTML. The Excel has this as TOC. The ArcGIS Diagrammer reports had something similar called "Back to Top" below each section. Helps a lot for large files.

As per the documentation, it should work, however like the link mentions: You do not have to keep your geodatabase and ArcGIS clients at the same release, but it is recommended that you do so. Geodatabases and client software are designed to work together, and if you let one get too many releases away from the other, you risk encountering problems or unexpected behavior. Also, make sure that you are using the supported ODBC driver to connect: SQL Server 2017 Microsoft ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server Any particular reason why the geodatabase needs to be kept at 10.6.1?

The answer isn't a straight forward Yes or No. As per Esri documentation (sharing SQL Server as example) : Compatibility between ArcGIS clients and geodatabases in SQL Server When your ArcGIS client and geodatabase versions do not match, your database release must be supported for both the ArcGIS and geodatabase versions. See the ArcGIS requirements for Microsoft SQL Server for the ArcGIS client version you want to use. Also ensure that the database client you install on the ArcGIS client machine is supported for your chosen ArcGIS and SQL Server versions. So as per the below links: ArcGIS 11.2 and ArcGIS Pro 3.2 requirements for Microsoft SQL Server Microsoft SQL Server database requirements for ArcGIS 10.6.x and ArcGIS Pro 2.1 and 2.2 If your 10.6.x geodatabase has MS SQL Server 2017 or MS SQL Server 2016 at the backend, it will be supported, as ArcGIS Pro 3.2 supports those two versions as well. Any higher or lower version of SQL Server isn't supported by both together.
