Hi, We need to show an overview of cookies used on a site where we use the ArcGIS SDK for JS. It seems like there are multiple cookies used by the SDK but I cannot find an overview that describes each of these cookies, and also which of the cookies that are necessary and which that are not. Please, does anyone know?

Hi, I have a featurelayer with local graphics (polygons) and labels set up to show on these graphics. When I try to print out the featurelayer using the print widget (which again uses webmap export task/service) the labels are not visible in the print output (pdf, jpg, etc..). Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? Here is a codepen where you can see the issue yourself (here with polylines): Create a FeatureLayer from a shapefile | Sample | ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript 4.28 (codepen.io) Do the following to see the problem: 1. Click button up in right corner to download shape file (this is an official shape file from esri) 2. Then upload the same file (also in the same menu) 3. See now that the map contains the polylines with labels 4. Print out the map using the print widget and see that the result does not include labels

Is there any way to force a featurelayer to never generalize and/or quantize the geometries in the layer? I am asking because I'm doing a lot of geometryengine operations on a featurelayer and sometimes I get tiny slivers as output from the engine. Seemingly this is caused by tiny differences in the geometries depending on zoom level etc. In version 3 of the api we had setMaxAllowableOffset and autoGeneralize props as means to control this but in version 4 I cannot find it.

I'm updating my app from using 4.19 to 4.24. The app uses webpack, es-modules and Vue 2. I use vuex in the project but not for storing anything related to the map. After updating to version 4.24 (all I had to do as far as I could see in the documentation was to change some import paths - based on the list of breaking changes in each release up to 4.24) I now get a bunch of rangeerrors: lang.js?8675:formatted:150 Uncaught (in promise) RangeError: Maximum call stack size exceeded at m (lang.js?8675:formatted:150:NaN) at m (lang.js?8675:formatted:150:NaN) at m (lang.js?8675:formatted:150:NaN) at m (lang.js?8675:formatted:150:NaN) at m (lang.js?8675:formatted:150:NaN) at m (lang.js?8675:formatted:150:NaN) at m (lang.js?8675:formatted:150:NaN) at m (lang.js?8675:formatted:150:NaN) at m (lang.js?8675:formatted:150:NaN) at m (lang.js?8675:formatted:150:NaN) This seems really strange... The errors occurs when creating an Editor widget, and when calling the create("polygon") on an instance of the draw widget. Does anyone have any clue what is going on here?

Thank you for the clarification! I think it would be great if you could add a sentence or two about this to the building with es modules page: https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/latest/es-modules/ Pretty sure there will be many others wondering the same.

We have a simple app showing a map that uses es modules and Vite for building (we do not set assetsPath). When we do a "npm run build" we end up with almost 300 files from the arcgis api for js in our dist/assets folder. When running the built app we can see that some of those 300 files are imported and used, but far from all of them. For instance the assets folder includes files for WMTSLayer, although we do not use WMTS layers in our app. Why are there files included in the build that apparently are not used by the app? Why are the files not being bundled?

Thank you very much for your prompt reply Andrew! That's good to know! In our case, we would like to enable use of MapImageLayers in the visual, and make it possible to: - Select a record by clicking on the map (using identify operation in the background), causing the other visuals to update accordingly (using a join across the datasets). - Zoom to a feature when the corresponding record is selected in other visuals such as a table. By supporting MapImageLayers it is possible to show lots of data simultaneously, reuse all of our existing mapservices, and our symbology. Not sure yet if I will manage to build this kind of solution, but I want to give it a try.

Many thanks for your reply. Does this mean that I am allowed to develop my own Power BI visual using ArcGIS API for javascript, and publish this to the Power BI marketplace?

Hi, The organization I work for need mapping functionality in Power BI that is not available in the official ArcGIS Power BI visual. I see that it is possible to create your own components for Power BI, but these must be uploaded to the Power BI Appsource platform, and possibly certified there. Am I allowed to create a custom Power BI visual using ArcGIS, or is this in conflict with end-user agreements? Many thanks, A

Not sure if this has been reported already, but here goes: BUG: MapImageLayer does not show in mobile browsers on version 4.19 Reproduce: Open the following sample on a mobile phone (I've only tested Chrome and Samsung Internet browser on Android): https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/latest/sample-code/layers-mapimagelayer-sublayers/ In my case the mapimagelayer does not show (you can only see the basemap). This bug is only present on the 4.19 version. 4.18 works fine. The bug is not only related to the sample and the service being shown there. It occurs for all mapImageLayers I've tested (several different services).

In case anyone else stumbles across similar problems: After more testing I figured out that the issue is related to using hardware acceleration in Chrome, on my specific computer. I've tested in other browsers and on other machines and cannot reproduce the issue. Also, turning off hardware acceleration in Chrome on my computer seems to fix the issue.

Hi, I'm experiencing a strange rendering issue in version 3.X (I've tested multiple versions and also the latest one 3.35) when rendering a featurelayer container line features. The issue is that parts of the line features (and sometimes the entire feature) sometimes disappear from the map when the user pans or zooms the map. The issue seemingly occurs randomly but is especially prominent when viewing lines with many vertices. The geometry returned from the server is correct, so the issue is, as far as I can see only connected to the JS api. Also, I'm not using the web-gl option. Here is a gif showcasing the error. You can see that when I first zoom in, the entire feature disappears. Then it reappears again when zoomin out. When zooming in for the second time, only parts of the feature shows up. I cannot share a fiddle because it is an internal service. Also, the issue does NOT appear in version 4.X, but migrating to the new version is a lot of work since this is part of a bigger solution. Does anyone have any idea what could cause such behaviour? Kind regards

Hi, According to the release notes for version 4.17, WMSLayer now comes with time-support, which means that it should be possible to "animate" the layer using the TimeSlider widget. Does anyone have an example of how to implement this? Have a nice day!
