Hi Derek, Never mind, I just fixed the problem. The following code in the query did the job: var mystart = timeSlider.getCurrentTimeExtent().startTime; var myend = timeSlider.getCurrentTimeExtent().endTime; q.timeExtent = new esri.TimeExtent(mystart, myend); Thanks again for your sample! Anna Dear Derek, Could you please elaborate on how can I use a timeExtent property to query by time. I have a timeSlider and want to be able to connect the popup with the current time extent. Do you have a sample with dynamic service and a timeslider? It would help a lot. Thanks, Anna

Do you have a sample with dynamic service and a timeslider? It would help a lot. Thanks, Anna Here's an example of using a popup with a dynamic map service: JSFiddle: http://jsfiddle.net/swingley/Bkswj/ This sample is using a query task to get features that intersect a click point and then using the deferred returned by the query task to set features for the map's popup. If you're underlying data is time-enabled, use a timeExtent property on your query to query by time.

Dear Derek & Ozan, Thanks for sharing the samples! Yes, this is helpful. I will look into the code and will try to use it with time aware data. Thanks, Anna

Hi, I am using JavaScript API 2.5 to display a feature layer on the top of ESRI base map (the LightGrey Canvas). My feature layer is an ArcGIS Rest service with the same wkid as basemap:102100. However, my feature layer fails to display on the map. Can anyone help me with this, perhaps I am doing something wrong. Here is my code: <script type="text/javascript" language="Javascript"> dojo.require("esri.map"); dojo.require("esri.layers.FeatureLayer"); function init() { var startExtent = new esri.geometry.Extent({"xmin":-15324083.521730602,"ymin":-9141606.801736668, "xmax":19898099.112069488,"ymax":14339848.287463393,"spatialReference":{"wkid":102100}}); var map = new esri.Map("map", {extent:startExtent}); var basemap = new esri.layers.ArcGISTiledMapServiceLayer("http://services.arcgisonline.com/ArcGIS/rest/services/Canvas/World_Light_Gray_Base/MapServer"); map.addLayer(basemap); var myLayer = new esri.layers.FeatureLayer("http://myserver_here/MapServer/0", { mode: esri.layers.FeatureLayer.MODE_SNAPSHOT, outFields: ["*"] }); map.addLayer(myLayer); dojo.connect(map, 'onLoad', function(theMap) { //resize the map when the browser resizes dojo.connect(dijit.byId('map'), 'resize', map, map.resize); }); } dojo.addOnLoad(init); </script> Thanks! Anna

Unfortunately we do not have a Code Assist plug-in for any version of the API that works with Aptana Studio 3. At version 3, Aptana changed the way Code Assist works and there have been some technical challenges with building Code Assist for version 3. We are working to resolve these issues and hope to have an update soon. Thank you for the update, Kelly! Is there a Code Assist for 2.5 version that works in any other environment, other than Aptana 3?

I would like to download the code assist plugin for ArcGIS Java Script API (version 2.5). There is a link to the download file on the following blog: http://blogs.esri.com/Dev/blogs/arcgisserver/archive/2009/03/24/Code-assistance-for-the-ArcGIS-JavaScript-API_3A00_-Aptana-Studio-plug_2D00_in.aspx?ESRISessionID=ZFiigHpGs7BpEjU5WLWYN64nIv2DtGt6d8DuUrKOMkVBINXIIwAQ3_65iKvhlCdgLUWeG7OK However, when I click on this link provided by ESRI on that blog http://resources.esri.com/arcgisserver/apis/javascript/arcgis/index.cfm?fa=codeGalleryDetails&scriptID=16139 it takes me to the general resource page and I cannot find the code assist file. Could someone please point me to the correct link for the code assist file. I want to use it in Aptana Studio 3. I looked for it online but couldn??t find it. Thanks, Anna
