Here is the log file generated. I don't know why it can't find the storage account. I've tried my original storage, and also created a new storage account. I've been trying to create the initial image for the AGS on Azure tech preview. I've downloaded and installed Azure Powershell, I'm running windows 7 with Powershell 3.0. I have an MS Azure Subscription and I've created the publishsettings file. I have an ArcGIS Server 10.2.2 installation folder and the provisioning file. The first errors I got were from line 357 in the agsAzureVMTools.ps1. The $azModDef variable was looking for Azure.psd1 in this path .... $azModDef = "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SDKs\Windows Azure\PowerShell\ServiceManagement\Azure\Azure.psd1" Yet on my computer, the path to Azure.psd1 was "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SDKs\Azure\PowerShell\ServiceManagement\Azure\Azure.psd1" I modified agsAzureVMTools.ps1 to point to the correct path and it got a little further. Now I am getting this message. Test-AzureName : ForbiddenError: The server failed to authenticate the request. Verify that the certificate is valid and is associated with this subscription. Has anyone experienced this problem before? Thanks, Andrew

For those of you having issues with multi machine sites on remote shares. If they are storage area networks with SMB , you might be experiencing OpportunisticLocking as described in this ESRI support article. My problems were solved by dropping a machine out of each site, then I could publish. I was running dual , 2-machine environments at 10.2.1 on Windows 2012 and I received the reduced study errors, as well as packaging succeeded but publishing failed. 40391 - Packaging succeeded, but publishing failed. ERROR 001369: Failed to create the service

I would check to make sure all of the ArcGIS Server to Server ports are all open and that your ArcGIS server service account(s) (depending on how you have it setup) all have the correct permssions to the site config folders, as well as the C:\program files\ArcGIS\server directories... I had a problem recently that showed similar "slowness" on creating the sd.draft files , then failed upon actually publishing. We determined that it may have been caused by oplocks, with the site config folders were stored on a SAN using SMB. I took both of my sites to single machine environments to see if I could publish to just one of them and I could. Then I added the machines back in , after cleaning up some remnant folders and everything worked. Here is an article I found related to the oplocks 40391 - Packaging succeeded, but publishing failed. Mike Bly --- If I log onto the server itself I can make the connection using the same process as described above. If this is a windows server and you are able to get to the ArcGIS Server Manager after logging into the ArcGIS Server machine, then you might just need to open port 6080 in windows firewall.

This error can occur if your ArcGIS Server Service Account doesn't have access to your Geodatabase.

A couple of things. 1. Are you able to get any results during the analysis portion of staging the service and do they indicate any warnings/errors? 2. Are you sure that the underlying data is supported for a feature service. This section of the ArcGIS Help gives more details on the feature service requirements... http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.2/0154/0154000003nt000000.htm

Alice, I agree with both Michael and James. When executing your python script on AGS, it is expecting to find sde connections and drives that are unique to your local computer. Your ArcGIS server probably doesn't have an O:\ Drive and it probably doesn't have ArcGIS desktop installed, which is how the Database Connections\\gis_user@sde_master.sde\\ path was created. To work around this, you can create a network share, copy your sde connections into that folder and give ArcGIS server permissions to it. Then, in your python script, reference the UNC paths that Michael mentioned for the paths to your data instead of your unique local paths.

You should be able to generate the token from the Get Token URL on the http://mydomain/arcgis/rest/services/ page. Upper right corner next to Login. I normally use Request IP for the Client parameter. If you have the credentials correct, you should see a long alpha-numeric string of characters, the token. In your browser, after appending that to your service endpoint url using ?token=, where it used to say Login, you should now see "Logged in " along with the domain\username of the credentials you used to get the token. If you have any secured services, and the account you used for the token has access to those secured services, you should now be able to see them listed in the folders. If not, you might have some things left to configure. Using https can be especially troublesome if you don't have the certificate/domain name configured correctly, or if you are entering them in an manner that is not consistent with your certificate.

Chris, SM ties in to your AGS server's operating system. I deployed System Monitor a few months ago to try it out and it was helpful. You can monitor the % memory and cpu utilization , write custom sql queries to monitor enterprise geodatabases, and get stats from the ArcGIS Administrator API. You can also setup custom http monitors, and monitor your rest endpoints. The backend storage is a mongo database.

Yes, I did create a feature class with the sde login role on the gdb with 347 tables. For another test, I loaded AGD 10.2 on the same box as the PG server and created a new gdb. That worked as you'd expect by running the CEG tool. I then created a FC as sde login role and now have 347 functions and 42 tables for the sde schema. One thing I'm unsure about is where the new versions (libeay32.dll 1.0.1.3) of the client libraries on the server came from. They are in the 9.2 / bin directory. Does the ESRI PostGreSQL DBMS Installer for 9.2.2 put them there?

I have 347 Functions and 42 Tables in the sde schema on the gdb that I have successfully edited a point feature class on. There are only 186 functions and 3 tables on the gdb that I have not used "Enable Geodatabase" on. Both were created with the Create Enterprise Geodatabase tool.
