Hi, I'm using Qt C++ SDK. I need to change the viewPoint (center and scale) to center around a specific point, and include another point. I found the SetViewPointGeometry, which seemed to fit, but it's only available for MapView and not for SceneView. How can I do something similar with my scene? Thanks

Hi, Can you explain how you solved it using the GraphicsOverlay class? I have the same problem.

Hi, I'm using the SDK for Qt - C++ 100.7. I have to display a simple circle on the map that work perfect on Windows10, but doesn't display on Windows7. Everything else (so far...) works fine on both operating systems (Polygons, pictures, text labels etc.). These are the lines for creating the circle: m_pRoiGraphic = new Graphic(this); m_roiCircle = new SimpleLineSymbol(SimpleLineSymbolStyle::Solid, QColor(Qt::yellow), 2, this);
m_roiCircleSym = new SimpleFillSymbol(SimpleFillSymbolStyle::Solid, Qt::transparent, m_roiCircle, this);
m_pGraphicsOverlays->at(OVERLAY_ROI)->setRenderer(new SimpleRenderer(m_roiCircleSym));
m_pGraphicsOverlays->at(OVERLAY_ROI)->graphics()->append(m_pRoiGraphic);
m_poly = GeometryEngine::bufferGeodetic(point, radius, LinearUnit::meters(), 0.5, GeodeticCurveType::Geodesic);
m_pRoiGraphic->setGeometry(m_poly); Any idea?? Thanks

Hi, Thanks for the help. But what if I have a SceneView and not a MapView? Both of the link you mentioned refer to a MapView which I don't have since I need to 3D options.

Hi, I'm using ArcGIS SDK for Qt, with qml GUI and C++ logic, displaying an offline raster map, using SceneView (not MapView). I want to display a small scale bar at the corner like this: How can I tell the correct distance\value? Is there anything already prepared for that or do I have to draw and measure myself? Thanks

Yes. Tried it with a SimpleMarkerSceneSymbol::cylinder.

Hi, I've noticed that LocationLineOfSight and Viewshed are blocked by symbols that I place on the map. Is there a way to prevent that?? In my application I have a weapon system with LineOfSight and Viewshed, and many target symbols on the map around it. I have to know which of the targets is within the LOS\Viewshed but they can't affect it (actual targets are very small comparing to their symbols...). Thanks

Hi, Is there a runtime equivalent of the JavaScript callout? I have PictureMarker symbols in my scene that are not on the ground, but I want them to have a line that connects them to the ground so they have height but they don't float... (Attached a picture of the JS callout) Couldn't find a way to do it. I've tried to create a cylinder between the ground the the symbol's location, but it's not good enough. The symbol, in my specific case, represents an observation system, and if the cylinder is at the same height as my symbol, it blocks the system's line of sight and viewshed. Thanks

Hi, I've recently upgraded to the latest SDK and started using the LocationViewShed. That was when I started getting the following warnings repeatedly: D3D11 WARNING: ID3D11DeviceContext::OMSetRenderTargets: Resource being set to OM RenderTarget slot 0 is still bound on input! [ STATE_SETTING WARNING #9: DEVICE_OMSETRENDERTARGETS_HAZARD] D3D11 WARNING: ID3D11DeviceContext::OMSetRenderTargets[AndUnorderedAccessViews]: Forcing PS shader resource slot 1 to NULL. [ STATE_SETTING WARNING #7: DEVICE_PSSETSHADERRESOURCES_HAZARD] I've disabled everything else and left only the very straight forward creation of the LocationViewShed but the warnings remain. If I disable the LocationViewShed creation - they are gone. Besides the warnings, it seems to be working fine. This is the creation code (The actual values are in comments): if (nullptr == m_locationViewshed) { m_locationViewshed = new LocationViewshed(m_stSystemPosition.location, static_cast<double>(m_stSystemPosition.fAzimuth), //0.0 static_cast<double>(m_stSystemPosition.fElevation) + 90, //85.0 static_cast<double>(m_stSystemPosition.fFovDeg), //30.0 SYSTEM_VERTICAL_FOV_DEG, //45 0, SYSTEM_RANGE_2_METERS, //1400 this); m_locationViewshed->setVisible(true); m_analysisOverlay->analyses()->append(m_locationViewshed); LocationViewshed::setVisibleColor("green"); LocationViewshed::setObstructedColor("transparent"); } Any ides what causes the warnings and how to get rid of them? Thanks!

I'll post my solution in case anyone faces the same problem... Apparently, a simple raster indeed takes very long to load. In order to speed things up, the raster needs to have statistics and pyramids calculated and located in the same folder (.xm and .ovr files). These files can be (actually must be, as much as I understand) created using ArcGIS Pro.

Hello, Is there a way to call LocationToElevation synchronically? Something like the "await" in C# that will bypass the need to always wait for the slot... It makes calculations so complicated when there is, for example, a loop in which each iteration needs the elevation. Thanks
