somewhere in the chain will be something not shared - I think I found some of the tools weren't.

I guessing it will remain using WebGL? Currently that means we can't implement anything as our Virtual Desktops have no GPUs

12 years on and on 10.8.2 and I had the same issue. It was as Alice mentioned above, down to Python, is specific numpy. To sort it out these days I had to Add/Remove programs to "change" ArcGIS desktop to remove Python. Then manually delete the Python folder, then do the change thing again to add it back on. Amazing that the same error remains for over 12 years - plus it doesn't appear to be in the Esri KB as I have a call in and if it were in their KB I would have thought this easy fix would have been found straight away!

Hi I'm trying to do this in pure MS SQL, so no Python models. I have some data that comes with text lon/lat in WKID 4326 - I want to create a layer in BNG (27700) - so, either I need to do the maths in SQL or call the geometry service and get a JSON reply. So anyone done similar? Or got other suggestions? Cheers ACM

See my post here regarding hardware acceleration on browsers, without this Experience apps are so slow as to be unable. It may be those complaining have low spec devices with no GPU https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-experience-builder-questions/too-slow-to-load/td-p/763092

A question to those with Experience Builder performance issues - do you corporate PCs have GPUs? Do you have Hardware Acceleration enabled? When an application is built with Experience Builder is running do you see high CPU usage for your browser? What CPU usage do you see here https://registry.khronos.org/webgl/sdk/demos/google/san-angeles/index.html that's an example of webGL that Experience Builder uses. Our standard PCs have no GPU, so no hardware acceleration, and 100% CPU usage when doing stuff in an Experience site. The same sites work a lot better (still a bit sluggish) on one of our few PCs with any sort of GPU. I'm not sure what our solution will be, we are just starting the Portal journey, so would want to write stuff in the thing that has longest life, but in our VM world of desktops, we can't just add GPUs without huge expense. Which is why only a few of us will be using ArcGIS Pro.

I have a ArcGIS Pro project. It has one layer, UK Ordnance Survey Master Map polygons. Both layer and map are in projection 27700. I have published the project to AGS 10.9 and 11.1 with Map (default), WFS and Feature capabilities. The layer is presented with a tiny, but crucial offset in the feature layer - see below( red is the feature service - only, in real world about 1cm, but enough to cause issues on any spatial query. The screen shot was taken in the Classic Portal viewer. Thoughts anyone? Cheers ACM

Edit - it would appear that presence of stand alone tables in my Pro project was the cause - these didn't need to be in the published service and seemed to have been a source of the issue

OK - we are a Portal site. I have two Map Image Layers. Both generated from Pro from the same PC, so with the same version of Pro. One, when added to a Web Map has popups enabled the other doesn't. Very confusing!

ah my favorite ESRI Community pastime, finding a year old thread with the same issue I just ran into with no resolution 😉 Add me to the list of people spotting this error in my ArcGIS Server logs. Specifically 11.1 and as with others it seems to be limited to services that are in the shared pool.

yep - we're getting the 'but it already checked out' warning - plus a few crashes - we've just gone live with Pro generated services so they are defaulting into the Shared Pool - whilst I get the theory, I;m not sure of it in practice A question: The Shared pool seems to have an Idle Time out defaulting (and unchangeable) to 30 minutes - if no hits are made to any of the services in the Shared Pool in that time does the whole pool go to sleep and therefore takes a long time to restart properly when a request is made?

indeed - another step backwards for the (still IMHO pre-beta) software that is ArcGIS Pro. I do wonder how these decisions to remove features are made - old desktop had the perfectly good "Repair" option that, well , did the job, but that is now gone.

I think esri's answer will be along the lines of this chunk from Hitchher's Guide to the Galaxy Mr. Prosser said, “You were quite entitled to make any suggestions or protests at the appropriate time, you know.” “Appropriate time?” hooted Arthur. “Appropriate time? The first I knew about it was when a workman arrived at my home yesterday. I asked him if he’d come to clean the windows and he said no, he’d come to demolish the house. He didn’t tell me straight away of course. Oh no. First he wiped a couple of windows and charged me a fiver. Then he told me.” “But Mr. Dent, the plans have been available in the local planning office for the last nine months.” “Oh yes, well, as soon as I heard I went straight round to see them, yesterday afternoon. You hadn’t exactly gone out of your way to call attention to them, had you? I mean, like actually telling anybody or anything.” “But the plans were on display . . .” “On display? I eventually had to go down to the cellar to find them.” “That’s the display department.” “With a flashlight.” “Ah, well, the lights had probably gone.” “So had the stairs.” “But look, you found the notice, didn’t you?” “Yes,” said Arthur, “yes I did. It was on display in the bottom of a locked filing cabinet stuck in a disused lavatory with a sign on the door saying ‘Beware of the Leopard.’”

Out of interest, how can esri justify making the users use keyboard and mouse? This almost certainly goes against accessibility rules as it requires two hands. Also, how do you get the Id tool to return data from ALL layers in TOC, regardless of state?
