Hi Mark Donnelly and Min Shin, As promised, I am coming back to you. I did some testing, finally the problem is resolved "temporarily". Our deployment was 10.7.1 on CentOS 7.4. While using the method mentioned by Mark, I verifed and effectively there is one query which goes to arcgisonline while using alias amazon. Our deployment is disconnected environment. So that HTTP query is not authorized. Well I check my resolv.conf, I check that local DNS was configured nameserver XXX.XXX.XXX.XX I commented the line and gave a fake value nameserver 127.0.0.1 (knowngly that there is no DNS service on the localhost). By modifying this value, the HTTP query towards Amazon disappaered and services (PubslishingToolsEx, CachingToolsEx, etc. ) started correctly. For the time being, we decided to not to use DNS but hosts file to resolve addresses. Hope this might can help. Thanks Mark again for your help. Have a great day guys Ayyaz

Hi Neil, Unfortunatley not. I tried but did not find any solution. Then I implemented my print service through: result = arcpy.mapping.ConvertWebMapToMapDocument(mapAsJson, templateMxd) mxd = result.mapDocument outputName = 'WebMap_{}'.format(str(uuid.uuid1())) outputFile = os.path.join(arcpy.env.scratchFolder,outputName) if fileFormatLower == 'pdf': ## arcpy.mapping.ExportToPDF(mxd, outputFile, resolution = int(dpi)) arcpy.mapping.ExportToPDF(mxd,outputFile) outputFile = outputFile+".pdf" So I had to implement for each format. I followed this documentation. ExportToPDF—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop Hopefully, it will help you Ayyaz

Hello everyone, I need one guidance regarding the utilsiation of task arcpy.ExportWebMap_server. I want to use this task in one of my geo processing synchrone service. During my unit testing, I publish the following geo processing service: import arcpy arcpy.env.workspace="/app/testprint" WebMapAsJson = arcpy.GetParameter(0) FormatPrint = arcpy.GetParameterAsText(1) LayOutTemplate = arcpy.GetParameterAsText(2) PrintName = arcpy.GetParameterAsText(3) testPrintCommand = arcpy.ExportWebMap_server(Web_Map_as_JSON=WebMapAsJson, Output_File=PrintName, Format=FormatPrint, Layout_Templates_Folder="", Layout_Template=LayOutTemplate) When I execute this code through Python installed on server, the code runs and generates a PNG in the folder /app/testprint without any error. Whereas when I publish the geo-processing service, the code returns me the output filename (\\app\testprint\<filename>.png) but no file is generated. Can anyone please guide me, how can I can make this code works. Any guidance or clue will be useful for me. Thanks

HI Jon, Yes you are right. I configured my portal and I changed the directory throught portaladmin interface. Then I had three folders in my shared log folder (as shown in the figure): As I told you that I completely missed this point. As soon as I configured the log directory towards a local path D:\arcgisportal\logs. The problem was solved.

Hi Dean, I had seen the similar issue with Highlay available installation (10.6.1). In my case, I had an error in portal : Creation of recovery.conf file Erreur du plugin HA. java.lang.Exception: Failed to start the database server. The startup timed out. Please check the log file at \\wsvsgisfile\ArcGISESRI\logs\\database\pgsql.log With my furrther investigations I got solved my problem. Infact during the configuration, client asked me to move all log files towards a file share. I completely missed the point that the log file must be a local path and not the network path. As you know that there are two types of log in portal for arcgis : Portal log Database log While moving the log towards network share, I had 2 folders for my portal log in the directory which was named after the machine name. On the other had, I only had the log of one Database primary one. The secondary database was unable to start properly. So this was resulting in continous synchronisation of db folders, which were staurating my disk. Once I move them to local paths and restarted my portals. Everything came in order. Ayyaz

Hello Wolf, Finally I found the solution but the cause is still unknown. Infact, I was testing various snippets which are available on Arcgis pro sdk Github. I am develping an addin that used Events. Yesterday I tested "EditEvent" snippet. That snippet uses dockpane. So while analysing the error message (which I posted above), I came to conclusion that error is related to dockpane. So I deleted that addin and everything started working well. Now I have to figure out why that addin was creating this problem I really appreciate your help and have a great day. Ayyaz

Hi Wolf, Thanks for your reply. I created a new project and retested with "Common runtime exceptions" enable. I always have the same problem. But I do have one error message in my output window (the log is given as under). Have you got any idea about this error. I have also attached my project in ZIP format. Hello everyone, I have one question regarding ArcGIS Pro Managed Configuration. I followed the guidelines which are being given in the article : Build your first configuration | ArcGIS for Developers But I have one problem, with startup page. When I launch the project from debugger, I have the following sequences : 1) I have the spalsh screen which comes first 2) Then comes the startup page 3) But startup page closes automatically and I have a screen which proposes me to save a project. How can I configure startup page to take an input from the user and not to open up this Save Project Window. Thanks for your help Ayyaz

Hello, Thanks Alexander for your reply. Sorry for my late reply as I am out of town. The server is Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2660 @ 2.20GHz and 4 core. The RAM is 16 Gb. The records are coming from TCP and frequency is 50 to 100 events per seconds. Thanks again Ayyaz

Hello everyone, I am facing a problem regarding geoevent server. My client contacted us that sometimes stream layer is blank without any data. When I analyzed the platform, I observed that CPU of geoevent server was 100% saturated and with around 500+ TCP connections with web adaptor server. I stopped my IIS server but I noticed that TCP Connections were closed. But my CPU saturation was still 95%. The major process which took all ressources was JAVA of Geoevent server. So I restarted windows service of geoevent server. Now my CPU consommation is around 10%. The client is using a simple JS application to read web map which contains 3 stream layers. The platform is based on arcgis enterprise 10.5.1 and geoevent server is federated and contexturl and websocketcontexturl points towards IIS. I have 3 questions : 1) What is the best strategy to cop with this staurated server problem. Are there any suggested ways / best practices to consume web maps which use stream layers to handle connection. 2) What can be more possible reasons for server saturation. 3) What strategy you suggest to do load testing of this platform. Thanks a lot Ayyaz
