Hi Jason: thanks for the response. Yes, I have verified that layers are loaded. the first image looks to me as the raw mapservice definition rather than the complete layer object but I checked the APIs and could not find the returned object's methods and properties matching any API objects such as layer, layerInfo, ArcGISDynamicMapServiceLayer etc.

Hello: I hope somebody can provide me some insight and help to resolve the issue I am having. The issue is to change the layer opacity - I am using JS APIs 3.2 I have base layer and a dynamic layer mapservice which has 4 layers. the code: for (j = 0; j < self.map.layerIds.length; j += 1) { currentLayer = self.map.getLayer(self.map.layerIds ); console.log("curentLayer:", currentLayer); if (currentLayer.id !== "baseLayer") { currentLayer.setOpacity(value); currentLayer.refresh(); This does not refreshes the dynamic layer opacity, but later as the part of the workflow if I reloads the layers, it works! And on looking is closely thru Chrome developer tools I found that map.getLayer method does not return the same layer object. The layer object in both instace when it does not work and when it works is very similar except when it does not work, the layer object does not have OnOpacityChange method. Please see the attached images. I am just very confused as why same method (map.getLayer) returns two different object and what I should do to fix it. Any help and insight is greatly appreciated.

I am not sure of the workflow but you can try putting the notification step after the child creation step and in the notification step, run the query to find the child job of the current job. if you are doing if thru application then capture the job creation event to know the child job id. hope this will help.

In addition to what was initially posted, the step assignment is mostly useful to you when configuring the workflow so that when a step in your workflow is reached the job is automatically assigned to that user. The workflow can only be executed by the person the job is assigned to at all times. I am using 10.1 and wmxlib-2.5-2012-05-05.swc, and do not find any method to re-assign the step. This functionality is critical to support the workflow logic and maintain the right history of the job, as the right person in the group to take ownership and run the step. Am I missing anything? any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Jake: I am having the same issue. the screen shot links are broken, could you please fix that. Also, is there a way to run this process in command line so I can batch import, I have many tables that I need to import into SDE. Thanks so much. Here is a preview of my table in SQL Server in design view with the primary key applied to the ID field: Right-click on the ID field > Indexes/Keys > choose to Delete this index: Right-click on the ID field > Indexes/Keys > create a new Clustered index: Save the changes you have made, then import the table into the SDE geodatabase. Afterwards, the ID field will remain and a OBJECTID field will be created: Note: The ID field will now be able to contain duplicates.

ok, i think i figured it out. it adds the feature if the attributes ONLY with values are passed, so if request has some attribute such as "Description":null, it fails. I have the custom form with DataContext=graphic.attributes and it loads all attributes in the form. The attributes not modified assume null values and hence passed at the time of feature save and then it fails. I tried to use the updated fields list to explicitly save value as "" or remove it from the graphic but that does not work either. foreach (KeyValuePair<string, object> kvp in _selectedPOI.Attributes) if (!dataEditorForm.updatedFieldsList.Contains(kvp.Key)) _selectedPOI.Attributes[kvp.Key] = ""; // OR _selectedPOI.Attributes.Remove(kvp); Any suggestions?

hi Jennifer, thanks very much for your response. I implemented the checks you mentioned. I am getting this error: {"error":{"code":400,"message":"Unable to complete operation.","details":["Invalid graphic features","Invalid parameters"]}} and the feature is: when added manually to the feature server. [ { "geometry":{"x":-9539817.27255194,"y":4613535.33509156,"spatialReference":{"wkid":102100}}, "attributes"{ "POIID":"113134" } } ] i cleaned it up to remove the empty fields saved as null thinking that it may be that might be causing the issue, ex: "ShortDescription":null, "LongDescription":null, The graphic point looks fine to me so not sure what is happening here. Any suggestion? Do I need to change the spatial Reference?

Hello: I developed an point editing application. I think i have all the requirements implemented (sde, feature layer, versioned - although not required). I have tried both - auto save and manual save but edits are not saved. Also the weird things is that after adding few points, fLayer.HasEdits returns false. What I am doing wrong or what I need to do to make it work? Could somebody please help! thanks in advance, ajay -

Thanks for the response Jason. I saw your posting when i was searching to see if anybody else had the similar issue. I believe (can't find the post, this has been addressed some time ago in this forum) the dll is developed by a third party and not willing to share the code. I hope somebody respond soon.

Hello: I am using the SillverlightViewer.Controls.dll. This uses Popupwindow to create the window and FloatingPopup.show(PopupWindow) to show (EditWidget). How do I add Close button to the PopupWindow? it has property .showCloseButton set to true but the button does not show up. FloatingPopup has only one method .show. I have finding the popupwindow as the child to canvas and removing it and setting the popupwindow.visibiliy = collapsed, in both the cases it removes the window BUT makes the application unresponsive as if some child model window is active. This is very frustrating and i have spent significant time to do this simple thing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ajay -
