Hi Luis, I don't understand your problem. I've created a similar mxd as your. I've registered data storage on arcgis server (odc file) and when I try to publish the mxd to the server ArcMap crash. All of the software is 10.5.0. On the arcgis server I've installed mysql odbc (64bit) and defined the dsn, registered the odc file on arcgis server, but on the publish process I have the crash. Have you suggestions? After that, If the publishing process work, I can help you. Regards

Hi Robert, great job! Thank you. I've implemented, in the old TOC, some code to hide layer not visible in scale range: in the addChild of TocITem.as I've inserted as filterFunction my function. This function is overridden in TocMapLAyerItem.as and TocLayerInfoItem.as. It checks if isInScaleRange is true. Now I can't know where insert the children.refresh() . In the old TOC widget I've inserted the refresh in the TocItem.as in set scaledependat function. Now? I try to insert the parent.children.refresh() in the setIsInScaleRange... There is a better place for doing this kind of job? Thank you for the support.

Hi, I didn't checked this token request with 10.1 because we still on 10 now. I don't think that your problem are about ssl... I think that your request isn't correct or the clientid isn't good. Try to check a ip solution. With ssl certificate you encrypt comunication between client and server and you don't close other services that are unprotected... For close all service you need to apply security to all services. I hope that I've answered to your question. I don't yet have an ssl certificate, although I am planning to get that part taken care of soon. I have used the suggested methods above and at one point "I swear" it was working. Now that I have programed the rest of my site it has quit working. I am at Server 10.1. If I send: http.url="http://xxxxxxx/arcgis/tokens/arcgis/tokens?request=gettoken&username="+username+"&password="+password; I get a valid token. If I add clientid or expiration to this url, I get invalid tokens. Am I getting invalid tokens b/c I don't yet have the certificate set up? or are the issues with my security settings on the service or server side? or by any chance is this just how it works at 10.1? Also, can anyone tell me if I set up the SSL will it affect my nonsecure services. Or in otherwords, once I get the SSL certificate running is it going to shut down my sites that are not using tokens. Might seem like a silly question, but I've made assumptions before and I am fumbling through this security stuff. Thanks in advance!!

Hi Robert, I've reported this problem of big images in TOC in this post and after your suggestions I've posted the solution Now this post is too big and not easy to find solutions... Thank you for all! Adrian, Wow I can't believe you are the first to report this issue. The fix is 2 simple lines of code and I will add them to the next release. If you happen to be using the uncompiled version than you can add the fix your self by opening the TocMapLayerItem.as and find the loadImage function and add the two lines below in red: private function loadImage(imageData:String):Image
{
const base64Dec:Base64Decoder = new Base64Decoder();
base64Dec.decode(imageData);
const byteArr:ByteArray = base64Dec.toByteArray();
const loader:Loader = new Loader();
const lc:LoaderContext = new LoaderContext(false);
const image:Image = new Image();
image.maxHeight = 30;
image.maxWidth = 30;
loader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE,
function(e:Event):void
{
image.smoothBitmapContent = true;
image.source = e.currentTarget.content;
});
loader.loadBytes(byteArr, lc);
return image;
} Also you may want to st your maps top attribute back to 40 unless you have some reason for the 100 empty pixels above your map. Don't forget to click the top arrow (promote). as shown in the below graphic:

Hi everybody, I've update my flexproject based on FlexViewer with api 2.5. I've seen that the unit on the scaleBar is disappeared. If I turn back to api 2.4 the unit in the scaleBar is shown. I use the com.esri.ags.skins.ScaleBarMetricSkin . I've tested also, to start a new flex project with a simple dynamic map and the sclae unit is shown. Have you a suggestion to find a solution about this problem? Thank you!

Hi, you must create a ESRIMessages.properties and other properties file from Flex Locale. After that you must to compile a swf for your specific locale and at end you must to pass the path to the new Locale swf in html wrapper. It's a bit hard but I've made that for my specific country it_CH. If need some infos... write here

Hi Robert, I've found a problem about the skinClass. If you don't set popUpRenderer.setStyle("skinClass", Class(widgets.Identify.PopUpRendererSkin)); You still use the default renderer. With this line at showHighlight method in IdentifyWidget.mxml the object use your renderer. Thank you!

Hi Robert, I've resolved the problem. I've setted in the loadImage in TocMapLayerItem.as in the loader complete function the image.maxHeight and maxWidht to 26 like your suggestion and it's all ok! Thank you function(e:Event):void
{
image.smoothBitmapContent = true;
image.source = e.currentTarget.content;
image.maxHeight = 26;
image.maxWidth = 26;
}); Giosia, I don't have a lot of time to spend on this so I'll just point you in the right direction Look in the TocMapLayerItem.as and find the loadImage function. That is where you can add code to control the image size (I have not tested any modifications like this so be sure you comment and know how to get the code back to the original state in case you break something).

Thank you Robert for the answer. I didn't analyze not yet your code but I've supposed that you make a request by rest service /Legend and set the Image by transforming the imageData from rest. I use now sp1 of arcgis server. I will apreciate if you give me suggestion for big image in toc (width and height). Thank you

Hi everybody, I have a problem with a find task in flex api and I've verified the same problem if I use the find task in the rest interface. I can understood that's a problem of rest interface. If I have a single quote in the search text field the result is empty, if not I have the complete list. How can I escape the single quote in the search text? I've tested the ' the %27 and other things like encodeURI but nothing works. Thanks for any suggestion

hi! My experience about some error of first access are solved by checking the option: "Periodically check and repair data connections for idle instances" with 30 minutes. What I have found is that my db administrator stop the database for backup issue and after that the service don't work. With this option all is ok. Note: the service is for editing data. Service with read only data are oks.
