Unfortunately, uploading the mmpk to Portal and/or ArcGIS Online, setting the thumbnail, then downloading the mmpk and side-loading onto the device via iTunes does not resolve the issue. The default extent thumbnail is still present. The thumbnail is correct if you download the mmpk via the device's connection to Portal or ArcGIS Online - but this defeats the purpose of having the disconnected mmpk loading capability.

Hi, we are also receiving the above issue. Unfortunately Kerberos is not an option. Is there a python version or environment you can recommend for testing?

Are there any resources available which provide further detail on overlap factor? A factor representing the degree of overlap between local models (also called subsets). Each input point can fall into several subsets, and the overlap factor specifies the average number of subsets that each point will fall into. A high value of the overlap factor makes the output surface smoother, but it also increases processing time. Values must be between 1 and 5. If Subset polygon features are supplied, the value of this parameter will be ignored. My assumption is that if the value is 1, all input points can only exist in one local model. If the value is 2, all input points can exist in one or two local models. Any information on the models justification for allowing an input point to be used in 1 or 2 or more local models would be appreciated. Cheers.

We ended up changing the OS to workaround this problem. The behavior was logged with Esri technical support and they replicated the issue. As we no longer had the environment nor a requirement to stay within 2012 R2, the ticket was closed and testing continued internally at Esri. If you wish to pursue this further, the case # was 01911169. Cheers, Angus

Enterprise ArcGIS 10.5 environment. Federated and certificates applied. Windows Server 2012 R2 Using IWA and working as expected. Installed ArcGIS Data Store 10.5 on a separate, dedicated VM (vmware). When configuring the data store via https://localhost:2443/arcgis/datastore, I am prompted with the error: Machine ‘https://<machinename>.<domain>:6443/arcgis/admin/data/registerItem’ returned an error. ‘Error registering item. Failed to encrypt the data store connection string. Please check the logs for more information’ The data store logs reveal: FATAL: password authentication failed for user: “<username>” The user "<username>" is the database admin user for the relational data store. The cmd utility provides the same error. Running the config from another client and browser produces the same error. Any thoughts or ideas? Update: Tile data store does not encounter this error.

For future reference, this was resolved with USE_DEFAULTS as the expand feature classes and tables optional parameter.

I am having inconsistent behavior between the distributed geodatabase toolbar 'create replica' tool and the Create Replica (data management) geoprocessing tool. As it currently stands, the toolbar provides the functionality I am after. Problem: Any query or selection is honoured by both tools with regards to the checked-out geometries / features. The distributed geodatabase toolbar create replica tool will check out ONLY the attachments that correspond to the selection. Result = 5 features, 5 attachments. - this is what I want The create replica geoprocessing tool will check out ALL the attachments but ONLY the selected features. Result = 5 features, 21000 attachments. GP tool params: inputs are layers from the table of contents - referencing a specific version CHECK_OUT replicating to a file geodatabase SIMPLE ALL_ROWS GET_RELATED Any ideas? The same issue is experienced when using an extent instead of a selection.##

When signing into Survey123 Connect via a Portal named user, you are prompted to provide an API url. Is it possible to host the API internally and expose this to the client? The environment is in a disconnected state and has no internet access. I have seen mention of this some years ago but cannot source any recent documentation or mention of this functionality. Cheers

FYI, the Create Runtime Content tool will fail and generate this general function error if an ATTACH table is present in the ToC. Removing this ATTACH table resolved the issue. Due to the option 'FEATURE_AND_TABULAR_DATA', the attachments are still present in the resulting runtime.geodatabase regardless.

I am using ArcGIS Desktop 10.3.1 and running the tool Create Runtime Content but hitting a generic 999999 error. This error does not occur when FEATURE_AND_TABULAR_DATA is unchecked. There is no basemap or locator included. The mxd data resides in a postgreSQL 9.3 sde schema enterprise geodatabase. The error is experienced when data was copied and layers referenced a file geodatabase as well. The error is experienced when run on an mxd that references datasets with no data (schema only). The data does contain an attachment relationship class (across 1,000's of points) and these attachments are single images, word documents, PDF's etc. This tool was originally used in a script and I have debugged down to this as the culprit. Any prior experience with generic errors for creating runtime content would be greatly appreciated. Standard troubleshooting of background GP & other common causes have been checked.

Cheers. I am assuming it is due to 2012 R2, however there is inconsistency with the crash across several VM's at R2.

Survey123 & Operations Dashboard are crashing on start up in a windows 2012 R2 VM. The only other discussion I could find was this problem, but the resolution did not solve our issue. Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: Survey123ConnectforArcGIS.exe Application Version: 1.10.43.0 Application Timestamp: 584e48c4 Fault Module Name: AppStudio-WindowsLocation.dll Fault Module Version: 0.0.0.0 Fault Module Timestamp: 5824ee82 Exception Code: c0000005 A colleague span up a similar VM and had Survey123 crash with OpsDashboard working. My next thoughts are to test if it is a VC redistributable problem.

ArcGIS Pro can inherent these connections from importing map documents, but I do not believe it can create these. I can currently access non-supported database platforms through this workflow in ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro (when importing an mxd).
