I have no helpful information for you, but I would love to know of an online community where we could ask about things like finding data, working with various types of data, etc. That's not really Esri-specific, but would be great.

Thanks for the ideas, Ronald! I had already tried capturing to clipboard, which did not work. I had not tried changing the size of the graphic. Unfortunately, that didn't work either. I tried a dozen or more different combinations. When I exported to 2000 x 2000 I was finally able to get it to sort of work - but only if I left off the number counts and only included percentages. I could copy the text portion of the chart into a ppt and it wasn't too blurry. But, I had to leave off the number counts, and those are important. Including the number counts ruined it. There are four decimal point places for the percentages, and I wish I could change that too, to save space. That many usually isn't necessary. But, thanks for the idea! It almost worked!

Hi, there. The reason is because I'm basically self-taught and I learn by googling and posting here as a last resort. I have used shapefiles for these in the past so that's what I was looking for. But thanks for bringing it up, I'll look into it.

Hi! When I export charts to graphic, the content of the chart/ graphic gets cut off, like so: You can see in the second column that the species name and/or the number and percentage gets cut off. There's plenty of space between the columns and the pie chart, but I can't adjust that. I've tried orienting the chart to left and right, but either way it gets cut off. I'd also be happy to get rid of the pie chart itself all together and just have the columns showing species name and number/percentage. The pie chart itself is obviously not super helpful. I tried exporting to Table and that doesn't produce the results I'm looking for. I can create a chart in xcel, but that presents other problems. I can get a table of names to show up, similar to what's shown above, but not with any numbers or percentages shown along with the names, and that's what I need for a ppt presentation. Providing just a long list of names isn't nearly as visually effective. I'm sure I can figure out some way to just get the data from excel into another kind of table with columns but would love it if I could just export the chart without it cutting off. Any insight?? Thank you in advance!!

I don't have an answer for you, Oliver, but I was just trying to figure this problem out as well. I'm hoping a comment might bring some attention to this? I was thinking I would take a clip of the legend from the info page here and paste it into my map, but that's not ideal. I'm looking at this one: https://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=ad7e1f1787814a2abd5557ad24a66b22

Ah, thank you! I haven't had to convert to graphics in so long I kind of forgot about it. I wish there was a way to just format the legend - but this definitely works and that's what matters. Thank you!!

Ah, ok. So just remove the heading and then create a title that takes the place of the heading. That works - in this case, at least. Thank you!!

Darn. I keep breaking it down into smaller and smaller sections to export, and I keep getting an error that the raster exceeds the size limitations. The smallest size so far I have chosen is Kentucky, but I need this to cover several states together, at least, so if I have to break it down smaller than that it's really not practical. So..... I'm not sure there is a solution to this. Break it down into counties, and piece 20+ pieces together for each state, and then piece 8 of those together? I guess I could if I have to ..

Hi, all! I have a legend that's super messy and I can't figure out how to make it look neat. I've got 2 columns which are all taken up by a number of categories w/in the same layer. So there's only one layer in the legend, but it has a lot of classes that I need to display. I also want to make the columns different widths to accommodate different labels. It seems like it should be very easy or default that the columns should be aligned vertically, and that they should have the same number of classes in each (unless there's an odd number of classes). But that is not the case. Because all of these items are in the same layer, I can't manually move them from one column to another in the legend properties. Can anyone help me understand how to just have the classes themselves aligned vertically?? Meaning, the Layer name should be above both columns, which should be vertically aligned. Also, I unchecked the box for "Equal column widths", but I don't see any way to specify different widths for the two columns. Adjusting the overall width of the legend doesn't change anything. Both columns stay uniform in width. Thank you in advance for your help!!

Arg! It won't allow me to export it to a large enough area to be useful for my project. : ( I did find a place where I can download shapefiles by state so I guess I will have to resort to that. I've had trouble trying to cobble those kind of things together in the past because the symbology never matches up, but I'll give it a try. Anyway, still appreciate your help and direction, there's a lot I don't know, that I don't know about!

Ah ok .. Thank you!!!!! I tried just using the Raster to Polygon tool, I'll try the Export route. In any case, I appreciate you setting me on the right path!! I didn't know this was possible.

Thanks, Steve. Yes, I already downloaded several files from that site. I still have the same problem of converting to shapefile. Everything I've found on there is raster.

Thanks, Ed! Well I tried it, and the shapefile just came up with one category. There's no field in the raster attribute table for Class, or Land Cover, which is what I need. It does show up in the Legend or symbology for the raster, so it has to be there somewhere, but there's nothing like that in the raster attribute table, so there's no way for it to convert to usable info for the shapefile either. ?? Well, thanks for giving me the tip on conversion anyway, I'll see if I can figure something out that allows me to have usable attributes and fields.

Because I didn't know that was possible. But it won't include field-specific info, will it? I'll try it.
