Hi @K_Jueckstock , I love this story! Good news is, you can mimic this in your builder without any coding. In terms of themes, you could create your own theme that looks similar to this story's, or use an existing theme to get a similar look and feel. I'd recommend either the Mesa theme (found on the Design panel), or the Historical featured theme (found after clicking the Featured themes gallery button in the Design panel). Next, add a map tour to your story and use the Guided > Map focused layout: Then, add the text in the title and description of your first point. You can add multiple lines of text, bold, and change the color of the text using the text editor. The editor will even recommend the story's theme colors to keep cohesion in the design. Something cool that the example story you mentioned does is create a separator with text! That line that appears in the narrative panel is actually just a line of multiple underscores: ____ . You can then select that text and change the color so it looks like a colored separator. Let me know if this information helps, or if you have any follow up questions on how to further customize your story. --Abby

Hi @ArielLow2146 , The story may be reading your user's locale if it is set to English, if you are viewing this story while logged in. This doc explains, "For signed-in users, the language is determined by the ArcGIS user profile language setting. For users who are not signed in, the language is determined by the browser's language setting." Can you try changing your ArcGIS user profile language setting to Spanish? Here's another article explaining the language expectation: ArcGIS Storymaps - Configure story settings. Let me know if setting your user profile changes that behavior for you. --Abby

Hi @KB66Coupe , I'm sorry you're experiencing this. From first testing, I'm not seeing a way to hide that autoplay bar once you've changed any autoplay settings. I will say I was able to see the bar disappear after first turning the autoplay on from the story settings, but that's not with any changes to the playback speed or pausing/playing the autoplay. This could be a suitable enhancement request, if you want to post to the ArcGIS StoryMaps Ideas page to garner support for this change in the feature. --Abby

Hi @KathrynClifton , The Presentation featured theme uses Libre Franklin for titles and Wix Madefor Text for the body text. These are both font families imported from Google Fonts. If you are using an ArcGIS Enterprise environment, you can enable Google Fonts for your organization using the steps in this Technical Article: Technical Support - Use Google Fonts in ArcGIS StoryMaps. --Abby

Hi @chrisj5 , The difference between the embedded PDFs in these stories is where the PDFs are hosted. In Story 1, nothing appears when the "2023 Washington State Enhanced Hazard Mitigation Plan" card is clicked because that PDF is not hosted in ArcGIS Online. When you host your PDFs in ArcGIS Online (like the "Impervious Surface Elementary Schools Grounds in Pierce County" PDF in Story 2), the only option to link to that PDF is through a download. To prove this, if you go to your ArcGIS item details page for that PDF, you will see no option to view that PDF, only to download. Because of this, this is more of an ArcGIS Online behavior to address than an ArcGIS StoryMaps behavior. It looks like this was actually a recent, intentional change by ArcGIS Online for more secure practices. See the full description on ArcGIS Online's Esri Community here. To at least workaround this automatic download in your story, host the PDF outside of ArcGIS Online and use that external link in your embed (like you do in Story 1). Let me know if this works for you! --Abby

Hi @Felipe_Costa , What version of ArcGIS Enterprise and what form of authentication is in place for the portal login? My first troubleshooting thoughts would be to check your Web Context URL if you have one set, as that can cause authentication loops if misconfigured. I'd also recommend reaching out to Esri Technical Support as they're the best equipped to troubleshoot and dig deeper into your environment's configuration. --Abby

Hi @chrisj5 , Could you elaborate a bit on the desired behavior here? If the goal is to open the PDF in a new tab and not automatically download, that should be the expected behavior, though we could do some file/browser specific troubleshooting. If the goal is to have an automatic download when clicking the card, I don't see this likely being supported, since this would lead to a download without the preview opening the PDF in a new browser supplies. Additionally, once opening the PDF in a new browser tab, there is the option for the file to be downloaded from that tab. Could you send a link to either the story or the PDF where you are seeing this issue? I'm also curious which browser types where you can see this automatic download occurring. I don't see the automatic download on all embedded PDFs, but would like to attempt your exact workflow so we can see where the difference is in that PDF expectation. --Abby

Hi @MatthewBane , Thank you for bringing this to our attention! I am also able to reproduce this, and the subsequent background audio should also be unmuting when the first audio is unmuted, including on tablet devices. We are looking into resolving this issue and will update here when we have implemented a fix. --Abby

Hi @Smith_Mike , We looked into this a bit more, and at the moment, our titles within map tours strip any HTML formatting and only utilize bold when focusing on a specific map tour point, while our descriptions do still allow that HTML formatting (as your troubleshooting can attest to). Additionally, the HTML formatting that is honored between map tours built off of a feature service vs. the formatting honored in map tours built manually, is slightly different. Because of this, we are working on updating the map tours so that titles and descriptions, no matter how they are built, will honor utilized HTML formatting tags, and allow for the following settings: Italics, strikethrough, subscript, and superscript. We hope to push through this change in the coming months, but I will let you know when that enhancement is live in the product by adding a comment on this thread. Thank you for bringing this to our attention! --Abby

Hi @FredDeNisco , I believe the heading option is not appearing because the heading you are referring to is actually a title of a point in your map tour. They are similar but are not technically headings; if they were, it would cause complications in navigation. When turning on the navigation links in the story's design, for example, you would then have a navigation link at the top of your story for every map tour point! A workaround for this if you really want the heading link, would be to use sidecars instead of map tours. You just wouldn't have those points on the map numbered automatically as they are in a map tour layout. However, you could still configure a map to jump from focusing on a different extents/points for each slide. This idea of adding headings within map tours has also been requested by other Esri Community users. Please feel free to add a Kudo to this similar idea to the ArcGIS StoryMaps Ideas board if you want to see this enhancement to the product down the line!

Hi @Smith_Mike , I hope you're well! I'm glad this post found you and helped a bit with building your expressions! If I am thinking this through correctly, The problem here is that the text formatting will be coming from HTML- there isn't a way to add this formatting with Arcade. I can think of how to work around this in the pop-ups, by adding formatting to items outside of the concatenation, then combining the italicized feature and the concatenated features in a text expression: The only way I could think this possible when running the calculation through the fields would be to add the italics on the field items that you are looking to italicize (in your case, the Genus botanical field) before running the concatenation in the field used for the calculation. The italics will come through in the calculation: Let me know if this sounds feasible to you, and I'll let you know if I think of any other potential solutions. --Abby
