I am concerned regarding the use of aerial imagery underneath our county parcel fabric data. While I have noticed that many counties do not display their Parcel Fabrics with underlying aerial imagery, our local practice has been to include it. This method is well-received by our community; however, I worry it might convey a misleading level of precision and accuracy. We already have a GIS disclaimer in place, but I am considering whether adding a tile layer that displays a "parcel geometry is for general reference only" message at closer zoom levels would be beneficial or just excessive. What are your thoughts on the best approach to balance tradition and clarity?

Hello, I am a county GIS technician that is making a series of large and small scale reference map for my county sheriffs department. As you know making a reference map from scratch that is legible is difficult. Are there any out of the box label groups and symbology groups online that can help me produce a boiler plate map fairly quickly with our internal data? I find this symbology provided with Archie Pro to okay but I not quite up to the standard I am looking for. I am trying not to spend the rest of my life adjusting drawing order and street and roads symbologies and making fine-tune adjustments to labels. I am in the United States, and I have very common things that need to be mapped like state, land, state forest, interstates, state, highways, major roads, minor roads, campgrounds, small towns, large towns, etc. Surely there’s a cartographer out there smarter than I that has their symbology and labels dialed in and has shared it.

@AmirBar-Maor Thank you Amir! I watched your data migration videos and just restarted the parcel fabric now with some more lived experience. I really appreciate you time working on this product. 🙏

For my parcel lines, I would like to be able to see their out-of-the-box labels. Currently, they are not displaying. Do I have to populated the empty attribute fields in the lines layer (elevation, distance, radius, arc length, etc) to enable the labels to display? If so, what tool do I use to do that? Enable COGO tool? 😬

When creating parcels with the traverse tool, sometimes I think I am done, I save and close out the traverse tool, but then I realize I need to add or adjust the traverses. How do I restart the traverse tool on my lines and then adjust the measurements of the previously created lines?

I would like to learn how to label my traverse tool lines with bearing and distance measures while actively creating the traverse - as seen in the YouTube below. When I turn on the labels for my line layer, all that is available it a length field, and it is not ground-to-grid corrected. Do I need to be creating my traverses in my connection lines feature class in my Parcel Fabric? Is this because they are COGO enabled? See below example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1DShUY43zc

and my relationship classes in the ParcelFabric are show "The table was not found" when I try and add them to the map. Maybe my best bet is to build the whole parcel fabric from scratch then.

It turns out my Records do have a GUID field (it was just hidden). However, the GUID value of matching records and Tax Parcel polygons are different.

Kevin, Thank You! A) Well that is my first problem. My records do not even have a GUID field. Instead, there is a "Name" field that contains the Property ID value. This Property ID value is also contained in the Tax Parcel polygon feature class in the "Property_I" field. Both are Text fields. My Tax Parcel polygon feature class has a GUID field though. Maybe I can figure out a way to join the GUID field from the Tax Parcel polygon feature class to the Record layer, the build the extent. Thank you so much for your reply.

I am not proficient in the Parcel Fabric. I set the Parcel Fabric layer up over this past summer, but I guess I made the mistake of editing the Tax Parcel polygon feature class outside of the Parcel Fabric environment, thus causing outdated Records. I need help updating my Parcel Fabric records. A) My Tax Parcel polygon feature class now contains correct geometry data, but the Parcel Fabric Records feature class is outdated, how should I proceed to update the geometry of the Parcel Fabric Records to match the Tax Parcel data? B) Upon updating the Parcel Fabric Records with the new geometry data, how can I ensure that all historical geometries are preserved? I'm interested in maintaining a versioned history within Parcel Fabric to track all geometric changes over time. C) I need help learning the Parcel Fabric layer from the ground up. What are the best free resources? D) When making very large scale (small size) adjustments to dozens of parcels in an area, like snapping all of the surrounding parcels to a section corner, do I do not how to do this within the parcel fabric envrionment so it preserves historical geometry and notes why I made the change. Do I have to create a record for each minor change? ArcGIS Pro version 3.2.2. Grey: current parcel geometry Blue: outdated parcel fabric records geometry Scale 1:2

Sorry, I do not understand. When you say "ArcGIS OL and Pro should do for GPS data." how is data collected in the field? with ArcGIS Field Maps? If so, how much does it cost the non-profit to use Field Maps? This would be several people collecting data with smart phones. Thanks : )
