Hello All, As a team, we are trying to use a DEM file for the first time in our projects and we are pretty unfamiliar with it. What we are trying to do is implement our previously prepared algorithms to Silverlight (somehow) and run a signal coverage analysis on web. Where we all stuck is the very beginning of the whole process, reading the DEM file. As far as we are aware, DEMS are made of cells in certain sizes. Ours is 30x30 meters. - Right now, we need to find out a way to read the location info of mid-points of each cell. - Then we will calculate the euclidean distances of every point to each other. - Next step will be running our algorithm on the DEM (if possible) or another feature class (that contains the data of DEM) using the euclidean distances as a parameter. - And final step will be re-classifying/coloring DEM cells to define the signal coverage levels. As I have written each step we are planning ahead, I would really appreciate if you have any input for any part of the process. Thank you in advance, A. Celik

Hello We are trying to expose VRP tool as a GP task and publish it so that we can call it from Silverlight. As I figured out I would have to model the task in Model Builder. Since I'm really newbie on this whole building models and developing applications thing I'm not sure if this model will be working in our Silverlight agenda. Shortly we need depots, routes and orders. Nothing more. Do you think this model will do it?

Thanks a lot for the tip. But I'm pretty new at whole developing thing and I would be really happy if you know some good source for reading about "exposing a tool".

Yes, but this is completely different. I was asking for the tool "Vehicle Rooting Problem Solver" tool under Network Analyst Extension. Esri Silverlight API supports directly tools such as: Route Service Area Closest Facility but it does not support OD Cost Matrix Vehicle Route Problem Solver Location-Allocation. I just wonder if there is an in-direct way to make VRPS in Silverlight.

Hello All, I am pretty aware that with given opportunities it's not possible to publish Vehicle Routing Problem Solver(VRPS) into Silverlight application. (Or Am I mistaken?) I just wonder if there is any other option to make it work such as coding a runtime with the help of ArcEngine / ArcObjects? If yes, how? Or If there is a super-sonic example of the miracle where VRPS and Silverlight comes together? Or Am I just mistaken about the whole question and its answer? I'm not a developer. I am an Analyst and using all these tools in ArcMap but I support a team of developers and we are a little bit stuck with this problem. Thank you in advance. Anil.
