FYI I just discovered that I need to install the X64 version of the .NET Desktop Runtime 6.0, rather than the ARM version, presumably because ArcGIS Pro is running in X64 emulation: https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet/6.0 But with that adjustment, ArcGIS 3.0.3 seems to be running properly on macOS Monterey 12.6.2 with Parallels 18.1.1 and an installation of Windows 11 Home 22H2.

To elaborate on the previous response, when a raster file is brought into ArcGIS for the first time it has no previously defined color maps/stretches, but ArcGIS tries to provide one by calculating statistics for each band and applying a stretch that will emphasize the important parts of each band. And, in ArcGIS Pro, it goes even further and uses “Dynamic Range Adjustment“ (DRA) so the stretch can actually vary as you move around and zoom in and out. To “fix” this, select the layer and open the Symbology panel. Change the Primary Symbology to RGB, and set the Stretch Type to None. In addition, in the tab Statistics and menu Statistics, choose Dataset rather than DRA. Or, use the Appearance ribbon, change the Symbology to RGB, and set the Stretch Type to None. Then if the DRA button is highlighted, click on it to turn it off. See the attached images. — Andy

You should be able to create a new field and in it construct the GeoID from the census tract number. Look up how a FIPS code is defined: 13 = Georgia, 001= Appling County, with census tract it becomes 130019501 or some small variant thereof. Or you can go to Census.gov and download the population data yourself, it will come with the GeoID, and then you can join it to the census tract shapefile. Slightly out-of-date instructions here. You can then do a spatial join of the census tract shapefile with its joined data to the crash locations, as described in the document I previously linked. — Andy

Select the state, then in the pane Contents right-click on the layer and in its contextual menu select Data > Export Features. Only that one state will be exported into a new file.

Simplest is the Python window, or if you want to save it for future reference you could create a Jupyter notebook; both are available in the ribbon Analysis. If you plan to use it repeatedly, though, I’d create a script in a toolbox, which would allow you to easily load different files as arguments: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/2.9/arcpy/geoprocessing_and_python/adding-a-script-tool.htm Oddly these instructions are incomplete; go to the list item Execution, and you'll find the beginning of a script to which you can add the code above, with 'rasterFile' returned in the line: param0 = arcpy.GetParameterAsText(0) — Andy

That should work, if you make the assignments B1 = Raster('rasterFile\Band_1') B2 = Raster('rasterFile\Band_2') B3 = Raster('rasterFile\Band_3') index = 0.5847*((B1**(-0.1294))*(B2**0.3389)*(B3**(-0.3118))) — Andy

“Split, Left, or Mid” are Visual Basic/Excel string functions whose simplicity has frustrated me for decades. With either Python or Arcade you have so many better ways to select portions of strings. In this case, I would use regular expressions to match a pattern, e.g. in Python: import re string = "North Miami Beach PB 44-22 LOT SIZE 21815" # match one or more + digits \d on either side of - and save them in two groups () match = re.search('(\d+)-(\d+)', string) p1 = match.group(1) # '44' p2 = match.group(2) # '22' — Andy

Are your streets polygons that extend from property line to property line (rather than just a centerline)? If so, run the Intersect tool and place the result in a database, you’ll automatically get the frontage length for each property along each street. If not, perhaps you can construct such a set of street polygons by hand-creating a polygon that surrounds the properties in question, then running the Erase tool to “punch out” the properties, leaving only streets. You won’t know street names then, but that may not be necessary for this purpose. P.S. The assumption here is that the property lines are actually polylines; if not, you’ll need to convert them with the tool Feature to Line. — Andy

We provided two answers for your question, look at it in the Catalog in its toolbox and either point at it to see the pop-up description or right-click on it and get its properties. If you don’t see the Catalog, you can open it from the View ribbon. I don’t understand why this doesn’t answer your question, it applies to any model, open or not. Perhaps it’s because you want the model to show up in the Contents window? But the purpose of that window is to show the items added to a map or part of a layout, and models are independent of any map or layout, so you can’t expect one to show up there. — Andy

Look in the catalog, you’ll see a listing for toolboxes, and your model should be in the default toolbox for your project (this toolbox also appears in the project folder). Point at it with the cursor, and a description should pop-up that provides a link to its location. Click on that link, and Windows will switch to the File Explorer at that location. — Andy
