Data collected in a repeat automatically gets associated with the preceeding information outside of the repeat.

When will the required function in SmartEditor work in Portal? As I've understood this functionality is only available in ArcGIS Online at the moment.

I have a story map that consists of two tabs; the first one of a dashboard that provides a overview of the collected data. The second tab is a web app to edit the same data. In the first tab (the overview) I have constructed a url that when you look at a object you can open the web app and it will zoom to the chosen object. As it is now the link opens in a new window but I would like it to open in my second tab in the story map. Is this possible?

I can't find where I can attach the xlsx file. I'll describe what I've tried to do in the survey that fails when I open it from the inbox. I have a repeat for result areas. For every repeat the user should enter which result area it is and since automatic numbering isn't possible yet I've written an if statement that controls the sum of these result areas and if the sum is wrong a note will appear. They can choose between area A, B, C and D but since I want them to choose them in the right order and never choose the same answer more than once I've written this if statement: if((${sum_result}='A'), 1, if((${sum_result}='AB'), 1,if((${sum_result}='ABC'), 1,if((${sum_result}='ABCD'), 1,if((${sum_result}=''), 1,2))))) If the user names the repeats in the wrong order a note will appear. This works fine as long as you don't open the survey from the inbox because for some reason it only seems to sum and count new repeats that you create...

HelloPhilip Wilson, I also have this problem. I have set the query to allowUpdates but the sum() function for repeats will still not work properly in the Inbox, it works just fine if I open the survey from Sent though. Can you help me? Best regards, Amanda

Hi James, sum_all should be >4 I guess. The problem still is that I only want it to check if sum_all >4 if any of the other if statements aren't true. 😕 Is that possible?

Btw could you help me with this if statement? if((${pine}=5 and ${sum_not_pine}>0), 1,if((${contorta}=5 and ${sum_ej_contorta}>0), 2,if((${broadleaved}=5 and ${sum_not_broadleaved}}>0), 3,if((${sum_all}=5, 4,0))))) You are allowed a maximum total of 4 plants (there are different types of plants to choose from). The exception is that you are allowed 5 pine, 5 contorta or 5 broadleaved; but just separetly, not combined - for example 5 pine is okay but 3 pine and 2 contorta is not okay. I have a message that I have put as relevant if any of these rules are broken. I have a problem to get the if statement to work though, as it is now it pops up as soon as the total of plants are 5, even when it is one of the exceptions.

I have a survey with multiple repeats and they are somewhat connected. Lets say one repeat is for general information about areas, and that every area you create gets a number (1, 2, 3, 4.... 100) which the user selects from a select_one list. Then there is another repeat for species and for every species you should select which area it was found in (1-100). I would like to make sure that when you select which area the species was found in you only get a list of the areas that are created so far (if there are 5 repeats for areas I only want the numbers 1-5 to be selectable instead of 1-100). Is this possible?

It would be very useful if you could navigate between the repeats the same way as you can with pages. We have users that create up to 25 repeats and then they might want to go back to some of them, lets say repeat number 12, and change something, but as it is now said user then has to go through all the repeats to get there... We've had lots of complaints about this.

Hi James, Our field staff has experienced the same problem with saving to draft. The problem only occurs for some of them though and I can't figure out why. Best regards, Amanda
