Hello Dori, If you are migrating the ArcGIS Enterprise from one machine to another with new machine name, you will have to install the software on the new server machine and then re-publish all the services. There is no documented workflow to migrate services from one machine to another. You can use the Enterprise Builder to build the new 10.5.1 version. All the software will be on the same machine. And when you upgrade the ArcGIS Enterprise to 10.6.1 you can use the Enterprise Builder 10.6.1 version to upgrade.

There is no documented workflow to copy services from one machine to another. There are different workflows that can be tried but I would suggest to contact Esri Support Services at 888-377-4575 to explore the options.

Hello Johana, In order to configure multiple web adaptor you will have to follow the instructions from the link below: Configure multiple ArcGIS Web Adaptors—ArcGIS Web Adaptor (IIS) Installation Guide (10.6.1) | ArcGIS Enterprise However, I have listed the authentication options available for Portal for ArcGIS below: 1. Configuring Portal Authentication: http://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/portal/latest/administer/windows/about-configuring-portal-authentication.htm 2. Enterprise SAML authentication: You need SAML 2.0 complaient identity provider for this. The following link lists few SAML 2.0 complaient identity providers http://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/portal/latest/administer/windows/about-configuring-portal-authentication.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_136CD7915D8C4D48AE3249053184CBD0 3. Configure with Active directory or LDAP: http://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/portal/latest/administer/windows/about-configuring-portal-authentication.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_66C3475137F544719F1CA3129B62D939 For Microsoft Azure cloud you will be able to configure the Enterprise SAML authentication as long as the identity provider is accessible to the Azure cloud. There is Azure active directory as well, that you can use to setup the Active Directory authentication.

Hello John, From ArcMap you can publish to GIS Servers or to Hosting servers. Unlike ArcGIS Pro, you cannot publish to Portal for ArcGIS (That does not have a hosting server) from ArcMap.

Hello Eyad, According to the screen shot, your ArcGIS Server has only the "Image Server" license role. You will need the "ArcGIS GIS Server" license role for the services. Go to my.esri.com > my organization > licensing > view authorization > ArcGIS GIS Server > version 10.6-10.6.1 > details > Copy the ECP number. Go to your ArcGIS Server machine > launch "software authorization for ArcGIS Server" from the windows menu > 1) "I have installed my software and need to authorize it" 2) If you have internet on the machine select "Authorize with Esri now using the Internet" 3) Fill out your and your organization's information in the next two windows 4) Enter the GIS Server license ECPcode in the blank space for "ArcGIS Server" 5) Finish authorization. Check in https://arcgisservermanager > site > software authorization > if the GIS Server role is now showing up and all your services are visible. If not, please restart the ArcGIS Server service from services.msc > ArcGIS Server > restart.

Hello Eyad. Did you recently updated the ArcGIS Server license? I have seen issues where the license level has changed and the services won't show up. Or if the license has expired. You can check the authorized licenses by going to https://ArcGIS Server Manager > site > software authorization. If you can attach a screenshot from the software authorization windows, I can have a look at it. Regards, Zahina

Hello Allen, Do you see PublishingToolsEX in your ArcGIS Server 10.4.1 version? Prior versions use the same service with a different name. For example, the PublishingTools system service is referred to as PublishingToolsEx in 10.5 and above. What is the error message you get when you try to start the PublishingToolsEX from the admin end point? Can you make sure your ArcGIS Server Service account has full permission on "arcgisserver", "ArcGIS\Server" and "Python27" folders ? Also make sure you have the GP service startup patch installed on the Windows Server machine: ArcGIS Server Geoprocessing Service Startup Patch Here is another Esri article that you might find useful: Problem: Publishing a feature service to ArcGIS Server fails after ArcGIS Server is upgraded

Hello Emily, ArcGIS Data store is used as the managed database (relational). You can still use the enterprise geo-database with ArcGIS Server. You can use either Portal for ArcGIS or ArcGIS Online, or you can use both. They are same except, ArcGIS Online is hosted in Esri servers and Portal for ArcGIS is hosted on your own server. Your Portal for ArcGIS can be either publicly available to internal. Multiple machine deployments are used for failover purpose or if there are too many services and you would like to distribute the load on different machines. With ArcGIS Map you can publish to ArcGIS Sever or to Hosted Server (ArcGIS Enterprise). But with ArcGIS Pro you can only publish to a Hosted Server. So, yes you can still use ArcMap to publish. If you have a sales account manager I would recommend speaking with them regarding what to use, since there are cost related to the license and usage.

Hello Steve, If you would like to change the IP address that shows up in the ArcGIS Server and Portal for ArcGIS admin, you will have to re-install and make sure only the desired IP is available. Or do you just want to change the web adaptor URL to https://localIPaddress/nameofadaptor? Can you access the web adaptor URL by https://localIPAddress/Nameofadaptor/rest ? Or it will redirect to the VPN IP? Does the machine recognize the local IP address? If not how about you add the IP address in the C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts file? 1) Unregister the Server web adaptor from <server>/server/admin/system/webadaptors/nameofadaptor > unregister 2) Access the web adaptor configuration page through https://localIPAddress/Nameofadaptor > configure with server.

Hello Kamilo, For your internal Portal to be able to accessed from outside network, you need the Web Adaptor to be installed on a web server that is publicly accessible. So if your web server is in DMZ and the https://webserver is accessible from the outside, - Install the web adaptor on the web server (IIS) - Configure it with the internal Portal. - In the configuration page Portal URL https://internalPortalURL:7443 - Portal username and password. In order for the above workflow to work, you need to make sure that the web server and the internal Portal machine can communicate over ports 7080, 7443. After the configuration is done, when you try to access the Portal site but is getting redirected to the Internal URL rather than the web server URL, you can add web context URL following the steps in the documentation below: Configure your portal to use a reverse proxy server—Portal for ArcGIS (10.6) | ArcGIS Enterprise Do the following to change the WebContextURL: Open a web browser and sign in to the ArcGIS Portal Directory as a member of the default administrator role in your portal organization. The URL is formatted https://portal.domain.com:7443/arcgis/portaladmin. Click System > Properties > Update Properties. On the Update System Properties dialog box, insert the following JSON, substituting your own reverse proxy server or DNS alias URL as seen by users outside your organization's firewall. { "WebContextURL": "https://reverseproxy.domain.com/enterprise" } Click Update Properties.
