Hi Bill, Thanks for your feedback and those snippets. Here is a quick answer: Yes, ArcGIS Earth does support the Schema and SchemaData tags. There are some examples from https://developers.google.com/kml/documentation/extendeddata#declare-the-schema-element that you could use to have a try. However, ArcGIS Earth does not support loading a KML/KMZ with a custom namespace or custom prefix declared at the start of the document and used throughout. This is why your data cannot be loaded to ArcGIS Earth. The support of custom namespaces is in our product backlog but it will need an additional load to fix. I'll keep you posted when it's ready. As a workaround, you could remove the custom namespace to make the data loaded in ArcGIS Earth. I have tried to remove those custom namespaces based on your snippets and KML can be loaded well into ArcGIS Earth. <Schema xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:type="kmlSchema" name="user_name" id="data_schema">
<SimpleField type="string" name="storage_s">
<displayName>storage_s</displayName>
</SimpleField>
<SimpleField type="string" name="type">
<displayName>type</displayName>
</SimpleField>
</Schema>
......
<ExtendedData>
<SchemaData xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:type="kmlSchemaData" schemaUrl="#data_schema">
<SimpleData name="storage_s">PRIMARY</SimpleData>
<SimpleData name="type">document</SimpleData>
</SchemaData>
</ExtendedData> Thanks, Xuewen

Hi @jsphillips , Yes, this has been implemented from ArcGIS Earth 1.17. Users can save a Shapefile as KMZ directly by right-clikcing the layer from TOC. Please check this what's new for details: What's new in ArcGIS Earth 1.17—ArcGIS Earth | Documentation Thanks, Xuewen

Thanks, Khoi. When investigating this bug, I also found another bug with the visibility of KML layers after restarting Earth. We will do more tests and enhance KMZ layers' visibility related to the bookmark tool. Thanks again for your feedback. Best, Xuewen

Hi @PhucTran1, Thanks for your feedback and suggestions, they are really helpful to us. Besides a potential discussion with our PM @jsphillips, I want to add some comments for your feedback. For the layers visibility bug related to the bookmark tool, could you please help to share more details (either data or screenshots are helpful)? I have tested some KML and it works well on my side. The bug of KMZ group editing will be fixed, but it will be included in the next release after the coming 1.18. For the display of images in the Popup, we will have an enhancement to display images to fit the width of the Popup window if its size is too large. This will also be included in the release after the coming 1.18. Other bugs or suggestions you mentioned, will definitely be in our backlog. Thank you. Best, Xuewen

Hi Geoffroy, Thanks for your feedback. This is a very good question. We have some performance issues with large datasets and we are working on how to improve the performance. Most of those issues are related to feature layers with tons of features and this is also similar to your case of GPKG. You helped to list different data types for the recommended maximum file size, and I think you are well aware of different data types have different behaviors. For example, we have tested 150G+ SLPK and it works well on Earth. However, as you mentioned, some 60M KMZ could slow down Earth. We will do more tests and summarize related information. After that, we will sync up with you. Thanks again for your hard but good question. Best, Xuewen

Hi @GeoffroyRicher-Lalonde , Thanks for your idea. We'd like to let you know that we're working on this and will include it in the next release. Meanwhile, you could export selected features through the attribute table of a shapefile from ArcGIS Earth Desktop 1.15 or later. Thanks, Xuewen

Hi Laguna, Thanks for your feedback. We got another test data to reproduce the issue. The data can't be displayed because there is an error when processing service metadata responses. We are working on this issue and let you know when it's fixed. Thanks, Xuewen

Hi IzzyMcLees, Thanks for your feedback. Currently, ArcGIS Earth (v1.13) have below known limitation for Web Scene or Scene Layers: Only Globe Scene is supported. Local Scene with projection is not supported yet. 3D Object, Integrated Mesh, Point, and Point Cloud scene layers are supported. However, Building Scene Layer is not supported yet. Only WGS84 spatial reference for Scene Layers is supported. Web Mercator and other non-WGS84 spatial references for Scene Layers are not supported yet. Hope this related information helps. If your data is not included in those cases, please help to share your data with us at your convenience via ArcGISEarth_Feedback@esri.com. Thanks, Xuewen

Thanks @BrettLessner, There is a workaround if you want to use the same customized HTML Pop-up contents you configured in ArcMap/ArcGIS Pro. You could use the Layer to KML tool to convert your feature layer to a KML file, and then consume the KML file in ArcGIS Earth. ArcGIS Earth supports to display and edit KML natively. Hope this works a bit for you. Thanks, Xuewen

Hi @BrettLessner, Thanks for the question. ArcGIS Earth does not support editing shapefile, feature service currently so that there is no way to edit the Pop-up yet. If you want to get the same Pop-up settings from your feature service in ArcGIS Earth, you could add the portal item URL (such as https://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=a24418dcd8964dff92ff538a2521a02f) of your feature service. If you add the original feature service URL (such as https://services1.arcgis.com/oC086ufSSQ6Avnw2/arcgis/rest/services/urlCSV_Swedish/FeatureServer), then the customize settings of the Pop-up will be lost, but the attribute table displays in ArcGIS Earth. Thanks and be safe, Xuewen

I also have this question when trying to add my Python Toolbox to ArcMap. ArcMap is using Python 2.x, so that it's a bit different from ArcGIS Pro and there is also some strict limit. I finally fixed this issue by checking two aspects: Syntax and Encoding. 1. Syntax Errors Please make sure there are no syntax errors before adding to ArcMap. 2. Encoding Please make sure the encoding of your *.pyt is correct (Python 2.x needs you to define the encoding). You can use all English characters or adding an encoding at the header of the file.
