@PrasantaBhattaraiDo you know if this can be overridden with reserved CAD fields? (e.g. https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/data/cad/reserved-cad-fields-for-dwg-and-dxf-files.htm) I was getting circles and am now suddenly getting points with a different seed file. Thanks!

Did you ever figure out a solution? I've been looking for a solution for some time. I've posted a similar question over on the stack exchange: https://gis.stackexchange.com/q/441626/18981

Just out of curiosity, do these feature classes participate in a topology?

The documentation for IFieldChecker states that the interface checks for errors in field names. Specifically, it renames the OID field to "ObjectID" based on 4 cases. When creating a standalone table in a geodatabase, using the IFieldsEdit interface to create the OID field, there are no requirements on what constitutes a valid name for the OID field. However, if the OID field is not named "ObjectID" when fed to the FieldChecker, it is changed to "ObjectID". What constitutes a valid OID field name? Are there any restrictions on valid OID field names in a geodatabase? Will naming my OID field something other than "ObjectID" cause issues? See relevant code below: IFields fields = new FieldsClass(); IFieldsEdit fieldsEdit = (IFieldsEdit)fields; fieldsEdit.FieldCount_2 = 10; IField field = new Field(); IFieldEdit fieldEdit = (IFieldEdit)field; fieldEdit.Name_2 = "MyOidFieldName"; fieldEdit.Type_2 = esriFieldType.esriFieldTypeOID; fieldsEdit.set_Field(0, field); // Add other fields here... // use IFieldChecker to create validated fields collection IFieldChecker fieldChecker = new FieldChecker(); IEnumFieldError enumFieldError = null; IFields validatedFields = null; fieldChecker.ValidateWorkspace = (IWorkspace)fws; //fws = my feature workspace fieldChecker.Validate(fields, out enumFieldError, out validatedFields); //<--my OID field name is changed to "ObjectID" arcobjects 10.4.1objectidfieldname

I've set up a PostgreSQL server to house production geodatabases, where 50+ analysts will edit data on various databases. I've set up a 'sde' login, a 'data_owner' login, and an 'editor' group. It is desirable to track user edits on some of our databases. I would like to use our acitve directory credentials to allow users to login without requiring a separate login. Unfortunately, our domain uses a format firstname.lastname for users, and this is not wrapped in double quotes when ArcMap communicates with the pg server. So when a john.doe tries to select more than 100 features, or any other act that will need to make use of the log file tables, an error occurs. Using our current active directory names will not work. After reading some PG documentation, I realized I might be able to map our illegal OS user names to legal PG user names. (e.g. john.doe authenticates as john_doe). After initial tests, I have been unable to get this to work either. I don't know if this is due to, again, unseen communications between ArcMap and PG. Is something like this even possible in the ESRI ecosystem, or am I just trying to fit a round peg in a square hole? Short of creating a pg user for every os user, what, if any, options do I have for using our active directory?

I found a partial solution. Text field comparisons do not require text to be wrapped in single quotes. For instance, from the link Noah provided: labelClass.where = "CITYNAME = 'Redlands'";
should be:
labelClass.where = "CITYNAME = Redlands";
EDIT: This does not seem to apply to strings with spaces - i.e. "CITYNAME = Redlands North" - does not work, with or without single quotes. Another undocumented limitation.

I am using Arcade for the textual logic, however I would like to symbolize features based on attributes. Similar to this example: ArcGIS API for JavaScript Sandbox But for whatever reason, my where clause (for a string type field) does not work. If, for example, I change my where clause to "OBJECTID > 120", it works.

I'm using 4.9 with a FeatureService on Server 10.5.1. I can render labels, but it seems that the 'where' property of the LabelClass does not work properly. Is this a known issue, or am I missing something? See below: const classificationClass = { labelExpressionInfo: { expression: "$feature.SPACECLASS + TextFormatting.NewLine + $feature.SPACEID" }, minScale: 100, labelPlacement: "always-horizontal", symbol: brnTxtSym, // defined elsewhere where: "SPACECLASS = 'Office'" // <-----This does not work };

While waiting for ESRI support to respond, I found a work around. Using the pyodbc python library, I was able to replace the following line in my script arcpy.CreateRole_management(my_connection.sde, "EDITOR", "GRANT", "My Domain\Domain Users") with import odbc conn = pyodbc.connect(r'DRIVER={ODBC Driver 11 for SQL Server};SERVER=MySqlServerInstance;DATABASE=my_database_name;Trusted_Connection=yes;') cursor = conn.cursor() cursor.execute("CREATE ROLE EDITOR AUTHORIZATION DBO") cursor.execute("CREATE USER [My Domain\Domain Users]") cursor.execute("EXEC sp_addrolemember 'EDITOR', 'My Domain\Domain Users'") conn.commit() conn.close() I hope it helps someone else who doesn't like to wait -WW

Can you elaborate on how this can be implemented? I am trying to change my tool cursor after click events, from one cursor to another, depending on the current click's function. I am currently only able to set the cursor to default Window.Forms.Cursors.
