Yes, there is a dump file created when the add-in crash happens. All of a sudden I couldn't publish to AGOL anymore either. It turns out that the first solution posted here solved all of these issues: Error: External sharing process failed I removed the PYTHONPATH environment variable from my system. I did not have the PYTHON variable. Now I wonder if this will cause problems with ArcMap?

Yes I've done that. I've also done a manual uninstall and clean install. I also have problems running the Solutions Deployment Tool add-in. Pro freezes and eventually crashes and asks if I want to send an error report. Neither of these issues are happening on other computers in my org.

This seems to be dependent on which folder I click and whether I double-click or single-click. In the Add Folder Connection dialog if I click on my C drive on the left pane and then double-click on certain folders in the right pane Pro will crash. If I just click on a folder and click Open it will add the folder successfully and not crash. If I click on a mapped network drive on the right pane, it crashes immediately.

I open ArcGIS Pro, create a new blank project, right-click on Folders in the Catalog pane, then click Add Folder Connection. If I then click on any folder in the dialog box, ArcGIS Pro disappears from my screen and seems to shut down. However, the task is still running in Windows task manager until I end it manually. Does anyone know why this might be?

I am running ArcGIS Pro 2.2.4 on Windows 7 64-bit and have the ArcGIS Solutions Deployment Tool addin installed. When I open Pro and click the Solutions Deployment tool button, the tool seems to open, then a few seconds later Pro shuts down. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a solution to this problem?

I have a web map in ArcGIS online containing a hosted feature layer and a related table (one feature to many related records). Is there a way to select a related table record and have the associated feature selected in the feature layer?

This is true. However, I've searched/replaced the definitions of every trigger, stored procedure, and function, and the records of every table to find occurrences of the old name. This is not to say that it won't fail in the future as configuration changes are made to the original gdb. Further testing and time will tell...

Actually, on a test enterprise geodatabase I was able to essentially "find and replace" any occurrence of the old database name with the new database name, and I can now connect to this new database using ArcGIS Desktop. I haven't done extensive testing, but I am able to edit feature classes, and publish services to Server. If my testing continues to be successful, I will be able to create a SQL Server Agent to perform the backup, restore, and alterations to tables and stored procedures and run on a schedule. I created a SQL stored procedure that showed me all of the objects in the database that contained a record with the old database name in it. I could then run queries to update these tables with the new database name, and also alter the stored procedures with the new database name.

I've encountered this same error when trying to connect to an enterprise geodatabase in SQL Server 2017 that had been restored from a backup and renamed using SQL Management Studio. The problem is that there are several tables and stored procedures that contain the name of the original database that the backup was made from. To connect to this new renamed restored database, you need to update these tables and stored procedures with the new database name. Check these tables: GDB_ITEMS SDE_column_registry SDE_geometry_columns SDE_layers SDE_process_information SDE_table_registry And these stored procedures: create_version delete_version edit_version You should see the name of the original database within those objects. Best test what happens in a test db first if you do the find/replace.

I'm new to ArcGIS Online. On my organization's home page I can share some featured content using a "Featured Content" group. Can the home page for my org. display different content depending on whether a logged-in named user is looking at it or a member of the public? thanks

I got this from Support and it worked for me: 1. In the Catalog window: a. Right-click the FGDB -> Refresh 2. In the Contents window: a. Remove the Street_Lights layer and Street_Lights_Inspections table from the map b. Add these back to the map by dragging them from the Catalog c. Now try 'Add New To Relationship' through the Attributes window.

I would like the ability to expose and edit SQL for hosted feature layer views. This would allow much greater customization and control over the views. An example where this can be used is when you want to filter the layer based on something dynamic. For example, if you have a feature layer that has CreationDate and EditDate attributes and you want to filter for records where the EditDate is within 14 days of the CreationDate: select * from [FeatureLayer] where EditDate <= DATEADD(day,14,convert(date,CreationDate)) Another example is where you want to have a dynamically generated attribute on the view that is perhaps a concatenation of two attributes in the feature layer: Select [FeatureLayer].*, concat([Status] + '-' + [Priority]) as [Defect_priority] from [FeatureLayer] Or even Case statements: Select [AssetID], case when [EditDate] > DATEADD(day,14,convert(date,CreationDate)) then 'Overdue' when [EditDate] <= DATEADD(day,14,convert(date,CreationDate)) then 'OnTime' when [EditDate] is null then 'Open' Else '' end as [CurrentStatus] All of this can be done in an RDBMS such as SQL Server, however it could be useful to have this functionality for organizations that are using AGOL only.

I just discovered ArcGIS Online Assistant. First I created a new hosted feature layer view in AGOL and set a filter on it. Then I logged into AGOL Assistant and selected "View an Item's JSON" in the "I Want to..." menu. I then selected the new feature layer view and scrolled down to the Data window. I clicked the edit icon at the top of this window and found the layer definition property "layerDefinition". Then I edited the JSON to look like this: "layerDefinition": { "definitionExpression": "EditDate <=DATEADD(day,14,convert(date,CreationDate))", "defaultVisibility": true } And this seems to have worked!

I've got an operations dashboard set up in AGOL. I want to add an indicator to the dashboard that shows the number of records that have EditDate attribute that is within 14 days after the CreationDate attribute. It doesn't seem possible to do a calculation like this in dashboard. I thought maybe I could create a Feature Layer View with a calculated attribute, but it doesn't seem possible. Is there a way to do this?
