Yeah. Most of us are retired military and there is a substantial government civilian and contractor support structure. My son is in the utilities and electrical distribution sector. His company is subing to Pacific Gas & Electric right now. That's a good industry to be involved in. No matter what field you are in, if you are an analyst with a GIS skillset you can be very valuable to decision makers. I saw your question on the net. Didn't know you were a vet. I work at USSOCOM. Make sure you check out NGIA and USACE. I was toying with the idea of getting my certificate at PSU. My son is in PSU's graduate program and graduates this summer. He also has a graduate certificate from them. VA VR&E benefits may pay for it as well. Keep in touch if you need anything.
