Thanks, but I should have been more specific. How can I get the list and a name for a given SpatialReference in code?

I asked this a few years ago, but didn't receive a response. How can I get a list of all coordinate systems? Sometimes our data does not have a WKID and the user would need to select one from a list. Similarly, how can I get the name of a SpatialReference? There's no Name property.

Argh, that worked. This sounds familiar. I was using a Console app since I was just doing performance testing.

Current one does work but is not really updated so sometimes I need to add new projections myself. I have enough work to do as it is I'll keep checking ArcGIS on occasion. It's possible our use-case will change some day. Thanks for the replies.

Thanks for the reply. If you're referring to Parallel. For, yes, it does make a big difference, but it's a far cry from the library I use now. Of course, for all I know, the ESRI code could be using better algorithms and maybe that's why it takes longer. I do cache the SpatialReference. I dug a little more and creating the MapPoint objects doesn't seem to be the issue, it's the actual call to GeometryEngine.Project that is the problem. I did just now try creating an array of MapPoints and sending those to a Multipoint so I only need one call to Project. This is much better, but not good enough. It's also pretty inefficient due to all the objects that need to be created. All of today's testing was with 100.7, .NET Framework 4.8, and x64.

A long time ago I asked about projecting arrays, but received no response: Array projections I thought I would try inheriting the Geometry class to use arrays to store data. However, the inherited class wants to use CoreGeometry, which is not in the framework. Is it not possible to do this either?

I see. Thank you for the prompt reply. I'm not that familiar with the Runtime organization, but would it be possible to change this? For example, my only interest is in the Geometry namespace. If that was in it's own DLL, .NET Core would be targetable, assuming it had no Framework dependencies. Not suggesting this would be trivial, but another geo library I use does this which makes it easier to work with.

100.3 removed the ArcGISRuntimeEnvironment.InstallPath property. Now I cannot run unit tests because: "Unable to find ArcGISRuntime deployment folder." How I can I fix this? Visual Studio 2017 15.8.2, xUnit 2.4. I'm using .NET 4.7.2 because the runtime doesn't recognize .NET Core as a valid target....

Thanks very much. I buried myself in the documentation and the web, so I realize why my input GPS was wrong. I have no geo-background; I just use the transformations, so I apologize for the newbie questions. I understand the different realizations for NAD83, but am still a little confused about how they are implemented in software.I think all the realizations use the same spheroid parameters, so does that mean just the actual transformation parameters between datums are different? Related (?), OCRS has CORS96 and 2011, but MN County uses HARN. Are these just the ones that happened to be added? Is it possible to have 2011 for MN and HARN for OCRS? Thank you for your time. Or feel free to point me somewhere else.

I'm writing unit tests for the Oregon Coordinate Reference System. The ArcGIS conversion does not match sample data provided by Oregon. Is it me or is it ArcGIS? I compared with an open source library based on proj4 and its conversion gives the expected results. Baker Zone Input: 44 49 57.80936, 117 48 54.56244 converted to: 44.832724822222225, -117.81515623333333 Expected: Easting: 41437.60083 Northing: 36980.20833 Got: Easting: 41438.67098 Northing: 36979.55245 I tried Authority IDs of both 6784 and 6786. I used 4326 for the input coordinates.

I guess this is not a common request. I browsed the API again and still can't find anyway to do this. There is a PointCollection object but because it doesn't inherit Geometry, I can't Project it. I tested with 3 million points vs the open source library we've been using and ArcGIS took 4-5 times longer, which is unusable.

We convert millions of points at a time between spatial references. I cannot find a way to do this except by creating millions of Map Points. Is this going to be a performance problem?

Is it possible to list all the projected coordinate systems? We don't know what system the incoming data is in, so the user has to select it. While the user can select the most used systems, it would be nice to just list them all for the others. At this point, I don't have any ideas beyond parsing the list below, if that's allowed. So far, all I've found is the ability to create a SpatialReference based on the WKID or WKT. Projected coordinate systems—ArcGIS Runtime SDK for .NET | ArcGIS for Developers

Thank you. I did not receive a notification about your reply, hence the delay. BTW, I've been reading your posts on other sites; very helpful! I received the information today regarding the new coordinate systems. I'll review it later and create a ticket, though it might be awhile.
