Hi There I was trying to create a network dataset by following the tutorial: ArcGIS Help (10.2, 10.2.1, and 10.2.2) The first time I was able to create the network dataset successfully. When I could not get a solution by running the shortest route solver, I deleted in Catlog the network dataset created and integrated the roadway shapefile in an attempt to create a new network dataset. However, after that I was unable to create a network dataset with an error msg: Could not create network dataset. Cannot delete a network table. Cannot open a network table. I tried to move the roadway shapefile to a different directory, it still didn't work. Can anyone tell what's happening? I searched the forum but could not find an answer. Is there a specific place storing temporary network tables? Thanks a lot!

Hello There~ I am learning the Network Analyst tutorial through this link http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.2/index.html#//00470000005t000000 I can't find the sample data in the path C:\ArcGIS\ArcTutor\Network Analyst\Tutorial. I also searched other folders and failed to locate the data. Does this folder comes with a customized installation? The IT people installed the ArcGIS 10.2.2 for me with a ArcView license. I guess they went with the default installation. Is there a way I can download the tutorial data from somewhere? It is time consuming to get IT people come to rescue... Thanks a lot!

Hello There I just started learning to use Python for this GIS project. I have 100+ lines to split at many points on each of the lines. I want to use Python for this. ESRI webpage says the Split Line At Point function is only for ArcInfo license holders. I only have ArcView license on this computer. Wondering if I can still Python for this task. Thanks a lot! Tried it out. Error msg showing "The tool is not licensed".
