Hi James, Great to see this feature included! When using the following calculation whilst in the UK: format-date(now() + pulldata("@property", "utcoffset")*1000*60*60,'%d/%m/%Y %H:%M') I seem to get a date an hour into the future, almost as if it has applied the offset twice. I'm using an iPhone 8 with time zone set to automatic (London). Do you have any suggestions as to why? Does this offset account for daylight savings time?

Hi Phil, Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! I'm currently using 2.8.4, and yes I've added a dummy field at the end of the survey (parent) as well as within repeats. Thanks, Thomas

I'm hoping to include a readme/instructions sheet so that users can create a new survey based on an existing file with my organisation, and have that sheet available so they know which parts to update (site name, etc.) and which parts to leave be. Does anyone know of any bugs or flaws in doing so? Thanks, Thomas

Hi Phil, I'm currently having this issue, however even when adding a new field outside of a repeat upon publishing it hangs (Action: Adding fields to Survey: 1, Status: Information). Do you have any advice? The last time this happened I had to make an entirely new survey and copy everything across (which obviously isn't ideal). Thanks, Thomas

You’re welcome! I asked a similar question a month or two ago (regarding the “stop watch” function mentioned) and the Esri staff got in touch, mentioning the once() function. Solved many issues!

Consider including your calculation within a once() function. I have a log within a repeat in survey123, where users can enter a Depth From and a Depth To with comments on that depth range; users can add a repeat to have a series of From/To with notes. Outside of the repeat (hidden) I have a calculation to determine the max "Depth To" recorded, and and in the calculation field of my Depth From I have this max Depth To within the once function as once(max(${Depth_To})) Which calculates it only once per repeat (upon creation of the repeat), so that when I go cycle back through repeats the value is maintained. Used the same to generate a start/stop watch to calculate standing time whilst on site. I used a single option likert "Stop" button as: {StandStop}, and a dateTime function relevant to: ${StandStop} = 'Stop' with the calculation: once(if(${StandStop} = 'Stop',now(),'')).

I've noticed that within repeats, when a dateTime field is relevant to another question, using now() as default will give the time at the creation of the repeat, not that actual current time. When using now() in the calculate column, whilst it does give you the correct time, when cycling through repeats (moving from 2 of 2, back to 1 of 2, for example) the dateTime will be recalculated and you will lose your original entry. Struggling to work past this one!

Hi everyone, I've been looking into the use of a "Stop" time button (End Standing Time) within a repeat, upon which a related dateTime (Finish Time) would appear with the current time appearing when the stop button (as a likert) is selected. My issue is that if I set the default time for the Finish Time to now(), it will give me the time at the first opening of the repeat and not the current time, and if I set the calculate field as now() whilst it does give me the correct time, it will refresh the time whenever I cycle through the repeats (going from 2 of 2, back to 1 of 2). I am hoping to have a stop button which will set the Finish Time as current time when selected, with this time not automatically recalculating and changing when I go back (current workflow shown below). The XLS form is as follows: Step 1: Create first repeat entry. Step 2: Select Stop button auto-calculating Finish Time to now() Step 3: Create second repeat entry. Step 4: Click back to first entry to find Finish Time has updated from 13:45 to 13:46. Is anyone able to suggest a workaround for this? Thanks and regards, Thomas

My organisation would definitely use this function. We want to be able to use Survey123 as a tool in real-time decision making, where every minute we have contractors out on site has a cost! If we could have that automation it would be very useful, at the moment we are looking at using FME to do this but would be great to keep it as simple as possible.

I'm currently pulling data through from a csv attached to my survey based on a Location ID field. However if that data changes on site, I have added in a select multiple so the user can chose to change one of those details. My issue is that I want the data draw through to be hidden should the user select the relevant box, such as in the images below where Location Type is ticked (I would want Location Type data draw through to disappear). I have tried using the selected operator in various forms, but that only presents the field in case of a true return. I'm wondering whether it can test for an "unselected" feature, such as notselected(${LocationDetails}, 'Location_Type') so that the field only appears when Location Type is selected. I would link it to a master question (such as "Have the location details changed?" but that knocks out other functionality. Any suggestions? Thank you.
