Thank you for the suggestion! I actually did try this (and forgot to mention it in the original post) but I had a lot of issues with trying to render 50k+ points. It takes several minutes to load whereas the map service loads initially. It is strange because I am actually able to use a map service for the pie chart in other dashboards successfully. I am wondering if it has something to do with the number of records in this layer but that seems like an odd limitation that esri would impose.

Need help with Operations Dashboard using Enterprise 10.7.1! I published a map service with 50k records from our PostgreSQL database (version 10.9) to our ArcGIS Server (10.7.1). Then created a map of just this layer and tried to make an Operations Dashboard with a pie chart and the map. When I add the pie chart, I use this layer as the source and use the statistic of "count" based on the account type field which is text type. I want to be able to click on a piece of the pie and have it filter the map. However, in the Actions tab of the pie chart settings, it says "no elements supporting actions yet." I am able to add Actions in the pie chart settings for other map services published from this database to the same server with no problem. Any ideas?? Thanks in advance!

Thank you @SamLibby ! I am still working through publishing my own tile service with these zoom levels. Of course it comes at a huge storage cost! Seeing what my options are for hosting... As for the imagery as a regular layer, this is problematic in that the end user can no longer use the basemap gallery widget to select a different year of imagery. I suppose I could make all of the basemaps as "layers" in the layer list, but there is about 25 so it is not ideal. I wonder if there would be performance issues as well, even though they would be turned off. Just a thought.

Hello! We currently are using basemaps provided by an external source. We contribute money to have the high resolution imagery that this organization then hosts for us, as well as for other organizations. Unfortunately the settings on the tile service only allow for zooming at the 1:141. As a gas utility, we often have dense areas of assets and must be able to zoom in much further to see all detail (e.g. at a regulator station). Giving every end user a license for Pro is not an option, so all of their data exploration must occur in the web map in Portal (10.7.1). I looked into creating my own tile service and placing it below the imagery. My hope was that the web map would allow the end user to continue zooming in past the 1:141 scale, utilizing this newly created tile service that contains just a curblines feature class and no zoom restrictions. I am having trouble making the map recognize the zoom levels on the new tile service, as it does not let you zoom in past the 1:141 scale at all. Has anyone ever tried this before (setting 2 tile services to act as the basemap) with success? Perhaps I am approaching this wrong. Thank you!

We run the same RBJ in 10.4.1 where it was created and receive little to no errors. Upon running the same RBJ in 10.7.1, there are errors on almost every record in every feature class in the entire geodatabase. Must the RBJ be recreated in 10.7.1? Is there a tool to automatically convert it to a higher version without having to re-do it all manually? This would be a major downfall of ever upgrading to a higher ArcMap/Enterprise version.

Hi Charlotte. Thank you for the response. Unfortunately we are looking for the agenda so that we can easily show that there is no way 1 body can cover 50+ sessions at one time. We also want to show them the breadth of information that is being presented.

Our IS department needs to migrate our Oracle geodatabase off of a Windows 2003 server. This will alter our TNSNAMES.ORA file. Will this cause issues with our services that have already been published to our ArcGIS Server from the geodatabase?

Our Portal 10.4 has many services, web maps, apps, folders, etc already set up. Instead of duplicating the work, we are wondering (and hoping!) that there is an easy way to republish these to our 10.5.1 Server and easily bring in the pop-up configurations, refresh intervals, etc of our existing maps and apps. I hear that the ArcGIS Enterprise Builder assists with this process but we already have 10.5.1 set up and configured. Please let me know. Thank you!

Yes, I also saw that in that documentation. I was hoping that there is a solution for a view that pulls from many databases as we inherently have many which support a variety of tasks.

Are you not able to publish this view as a feature service? The view actually references a few other databases and we are running into an error when trying to publish to our ArcGIS 10.4.1 Server/Portal and received the same error when trying to publish to our dev ArcGIS 10.5.1 Server/Portal:

Hi Asrujit, Thanks for the reply! Could you please clarify what you mean by database view? I am working with an Oracle view that was created by our DBA. Are you saying to make a view off of the existing view?

Hi Tina, Thanks for the reply. The reason that I went with a relationship class is because our Oracle data is dynamic. For example, the status of our meters can change throughout the day. Please correct me if I am wrong, but I believe a join would instantly make that data static. The end goal here is to be able to show that a meter is active or has been abandoned almost instantly after it is entered into the Oracle database as such. I registered the Oracle view that I am using for testing purposes in ArcMap 10.5.1 in a dev environment but I mostly use ArcMap 10.2.1 for all other purposes because we are a utility and this is what ESRI recommends. So the data is loaded in ArcMap 10.2.1 TOC.

Hello! I have an enterprise GDB in an Oracle 11.2.0.4 instance with features classes that have the unique IDs from the native Oracle database. I created a relationship class to ensure that I can link the feature classes to the Oracle data which houses additional information such as meter status (active, inactive, abandoned), customer information, etc. My question now is can I perform spatial analysis and symbolize on the feature classes using the fields from the Oracle views? If so, how? I think I may be missing a step here. Thank you!
