The attachment tables aren't accessible after publishing a service with feature classes and their attachment tables. They don't show up at all within the REST endpoint. Has anyone encountered this? Attachments have been enabled on the feature classes, so I'm not sure what I'm missing.

I've published a map service connected as both the DBO & the data owner when trying to publish data. After publishing, the Version Management box is grayed out. Is there a step I'm missing?

I have a hosted feature service on ArcGIS Online with some contingent values. I have been trying to change the contingent values by updating the "values:[]" to different numbers, but I must be getting the syntax wrong as I can't push the update through. import arcpy
from arcgis.gis import GIS
import requests
import json
import arcpy
gis = GIS("pro", use_gen_token=True)
currentUser = gis.users.me
token = gis._con.token
params = {"f":"json", "token": token, "updateDefinition":{"contingentValuesDefinitions":[{"layerID":0,"layerName":"Testing_Round3","geometryType":"esriGeometryPoint","hasSubType":"false","fieldGroups":[{"name":"BestFieldGroup","restrictive":"true","fields":[{"id":0,"name":"FieldOne","fieldType":"esriFieldTypeString"},{"id":1,"name":"FieldTwo","fieldType":"esriFieldTypeString"},{"id":2,"name":"FieldThree","fieldType":"esriFieldTypeString"}],"domains":{"FieldOne":"FieldOne","FieldTwo":"FieldTwo","FieldThree":"FieldThree"},"contingentValues":[{"id":1,"types":[3,3,3],"values":[0,1,2]},{"id":2,"types":[3,3,3],"values":[1,2,0]},{"id":3,"types":[3,3,3],"values":[2,0,1]}]}]}]}}
urlpost = r'https://services8.arcgis.com/BD3gY4Sn5bdx9tEl/arcgis/rest/admin/services/Test_CVs_Round3_gdb/FeatureServer/updateDefinition?token={}'.format(token)
r = requests.post(urlpost, data=params)
rJson = r.json()
print(rJson) Executing the code in Pro gets a return of : {'error': {'code': 400, 'message': 'Unable to update feature service definition.', 'details': ["Invalid definition for ''.", "Unexpected character encountered while parsing value: c. Path '', line 0, position 0."]}}

After working with an ESRI representative, we found there were orphan domains in the geodatabase. The procedure below details how to generate a list of orphaned domains for a geodatabase. To eliminate uncertainty, it’s best to remove all domains from every feature class and table and then delete all domains using arcatalog/arcpy. After this is done, we check in SQL again for any remaining domains and delete them to ensure there is nothing left. 1.) Select all domains currently in geodatabase using SQL: SELECT * FROM [sde].[GDB_ITEMS] Where Type = '8C368B12-A12E-4C7E-9638-C9C64E69E98F' 2.) Compare the SQL domains with the arcpy domains: gdb = r'YourGeodatabasePath'
arcpy.env.workspace = gdb
domains = arcpy.da.ListDomains()
sqlDomains = ('List of domains generated in SQL')
stringDomains = []
for domain in domains:
stringDomains.append(str(domain.name))
for domain in sqlDomains:
if domain not in stringDomains:
print domain To remove and delete all domains in arcpy/arccatalog: ## Removing & deleting all domains in a gdb
import arcpy, traceback
gdb = r'YourGeodatabasePath'
arcpy.env.workspace = gdb
desc = arcpy.Describe(gdb)
for child in desc.children:
if child.dataType in ['Table','FeatureClass']:
for field in child.fields:
if field.domain:
item = child.name
try:
arcpy.RemoveDomainFromField_management(item, field.name)
except arcpy.ExecuteError as e:
print("*** Remove Domain From Field *** arcpy.ExecuteError ***")
print(e.message)
print(traceback.format_exc())
domains = arcpy.da.ListDomains(gdb)
for domain in domains:
arcpy.DeleteDomain_management(gdb, domain.name)

Some users have reported an error when attempting to copy and paste feature classes from an enterprise geodatabase (See Image #1). After looking at the domains in the geodatabase, we see that the correct number of domains is present in ArcGIS Pro, but absent in Arc Catalog which you can see in Image #2. The same code snippet was run in ArcGIS Pro & Arc Catalog on the same geodatabase with different results. gdb = r'PathToGDB' arcpy.env.workspace = gdb print len(arcpy.da.ListDomains())

We are currently using the 10.4 release for Portal. My end goal is to allow read access to all of the data our organization has on our portal site, with select users to have editing rights to the data. I'm trying to create a "Data Viewer" role for our portal site that has read only access to any shared content (see attached screen share). I assigned the role to my test account, but I'm still able to create, update, and delete records using the account. Is creating and assigning a role the wrong way to go about doing this?

I've been working on a series of point layers, and I wanted to add a heat map for each of them in the application builder for Silverlight. When I go to configure the layers, the normal options show up (Transparency, Auto-Updates, Clustering, Feature Retrieval), but for some of them the "Add Heat Map" option doesn't appear. I'm wondering if this is a known bug, and if there's some sort of work-around or fix? Or maybe some process I haven't performed on the data yet? It's confusing, I was able to add the heat map option for some of the point layers, but not for the majority of them. I just want to know if there's something I'm missing.

I have line data that I want to start using as a network. I know when you first create a shapefile, you can make it so that your linework will have M values which allow you to store route data. Does anyone know if there's a way to convert a line shapefile that didn't start out with M values, into one that does have M values?

I have been having an issue with published image services that I've been creating. I will go through the process of publishing an image service within an mxd, everything will turn out great, I can host the image on our servers and pull it up no problem. The thing is, there is a standard deviation stretch applied to the image when I pull up the service in Arcmap. The problem is fixed easily enough, I just go into the properties of the service, and turn the stretch off. But I want to know why this stretch applies in the first place...? There is even a portion within the image service creation wizard that asks if I want to apply a stretch. I always make sure that this option is left unchecked, yet the stretch comes up in my hosted images every time. Has anyone else run into this problem?
