Thanks Gareth. Good suggestion about creating an organizational-level group for maps that all should have access to in Field Maps.

Thanks Aaron. That makes sense and the link provided also indicates that only maps shared to a group or which have made are available, which is what I am finding. I tried using the search option for organization-level maps, however the only item that appeared was an offline area, which is interesting. In summary, I can see maps shared to the user's group(s) and also offline areas for maps shared at the org level.

In using the Field Maps mobile app it appears that only the maps shared to a group to which a user belongs are visible to the user in the app. Maps that are shared in ArcGIS Online to the organization but not a specific group do not appear in field maps app. For example, I have a user (a member of our ArcGIS Online organization) that is assigned to a Utilities group. When this user signs in to Field Maps mobile app, he only sees the maps that have been shared to this Utilities group. He does not see maps shared to our organization as a whole, but not to a specific group. Looks like Arc Collector works the same way. Is this by design as a means of limiting the maps a user can see in the mobile app - i.e. just those shared to the user's groups as opposed to a longer list shared to the organization? I've tried playing with different user roles but this doesn't change what is visible in the Field Maps app. I should mention that if this user signs in to ArcGIS Online, the organization-level maps are visible to him. It is only in the Field Maps mobile app that he can only see what is shared to his Utilities group. The organization-level maps are not hidden from Field Maps either.

I have the same question. Once an offline area is created, the full map can't be accessed in online mode until the offline areas are deleted. Have you found a solution to this?

Hey! I also had this problem. We switched to the OpenGL rendering engine and now it's working smoothly. Options>Display and then select OpenGL as the rendering engine. Let me know if it works. This was so frustrating for me!

Thanks! Unfortunately (to my knowledge), ArcGIS Pro doesn't support ground to grid correction.

I was wondering how to change the Editor Options as well. I used to have a little VBA button that would switch between quadrant bearing and north azimuth for me.

Hi Caroline, Cartographic representations are stored in the gdb, so there shouldn't be an issue as far as viewing. I think you may also be able to export as a layer. I basically created a font that I would have to layer once I got into ArcMap. In my example above the circle, arrows and text are all different characters in the font. I created them using a multi-layer symbol and then converted them to cartographic representations, where I further refined them. I would suggest that you create the multi layer symbol in Symbol Property Editor and then convert it to a representation. In this example, I used two simple symbols to create the circles and then my custom font to create the character marker symbol in the center. From there, I would convert the symbols to a representation (right click on the layer in ArcMap). Representation Editor Screen: Notice how the symbols are a bit off-centre and mis-aligned. Here is the finished symbol in the Representation Editor:

I'm having the same problem using Collector in offline mode on an iPhone 5c. Whenever I try to add a new record for the related table, it crashes. No issues when it is online.

Are the bitmap markers symbolizing a point feature class/shapefile or are they part of an annotation group in the map?

Good luck with your project! I'm jealous that you've been to Montreal. Unfortunately, it is about 4000 km (roughly 2500 miles) from me so I've never been. I live just a few hours from Vancouver, though. Such a beautiful city!

Hi Eric, I'm also curious where you are and how you made out. I'm in BC, Canada. Our Provincial government has some great resources for base maps. Maybe you could find something similar: BC Web Map Library - Datasets - Data Catalogue
