Just in time for the Esri User Conference, this World Topographic Map release includes new Community Map contributions for states, cities, counties, parks and facility sites across the United States and Canada. This release also includes the 2016 Olympic Village and supporting venues in Rio de Janeiro, and commercially-sourced updates for Israel and North America. Both the Olympic venues and commercially-sourced updates for North America were also added to our World Street Map.

The global feature count for Community Maps has been steadily rising in this first half of 2016. A big thanks to all of our contributors around the world!

These contributions help enhance content in the Living Atlas of the World and add value and usability to Esri’s online basemaps. Through the Community Maps Program, Esri continues to incorporate useful large-scale features as shown in the following Story Map. See information below about becoming part of this community.

This Story Map Series features select communities where new and updated content are available.
