The World Topographic Map and World Imagery Map have both been updated with new content! Esri is curating an immense and rapidly growing collection of ready-to-use maps, imagery, and geo-referenced data for the world. This online collection of authoritative content, together with the new Web GIS pattern, is having a profound impact on the way people apply GIS. As part of ArcGIS Online, Esri’s Basemaps support a vast GIS community. Thank You to our Contributors and Partners who help support the Living Atlas of the World by providing data and enriching these amazing resources.

This release incorporates new content and updates for cities, counties and facility sites in the United States and the Netherlands.

I am a Cartographic Specialist for Esri's ArcGIS Content Team. I acquire, curate and recruit content for the ArcGIS Living Atlas of the World through Community Maps. Prior to coming on board with Esri, I worked as a Production Cartographer and Product Manager for National Geographic Maps for 12 years. I have also worked for the Geohazards Division of the USGS at the National Earthquake Information Center and as a Geographer with local government.
