We are using ArcGIS REST Services (Version- 10.71), for querying distinct values in the table, however, most of the time our query return error: “Error performing query operation” with a 500 error code. In the table, there is a total of 330094 records, of which only 24420 should be returned with a given where clause (Play='Permian Delaware Tight, US'). Moreover, there are only 201 distinct values in the given field('operator') when aforementioned where clause is applied. Mainly my query contains following constraints: where = Play='Permian Delaware Tight, US' outFields = 'operator' returnGeometry = false returnDistinctValues = true (optional, even if we set this to false, we're still getting the issue) returnCountOnly = true Overall request URL: {our RestURL} /query?where=Play+%3d+%27Permian+Delaware+Tight%2c+US%27&objectIds=&time=&geometry=&geometryType=esriGeometryEnvelope&inSR= &spatialRel=esriSpatialRelIntersects&distance=&units=esriSRUnit_Foot&relationParam=&outFields=operator &returnGeometry=false&maxAllowableOffset=&geometryPrecision=&outSR=&having=&gdbVersion=&historicMoment= &returnDistinctValues=true&returnIdsOnly=false&returnCountOnly=True&returnExtentOnly=false&orderByFields= &groupByFieldsForStatistics=&outStatistics=&returnZ=false&returnM=false&multipatchOption=xyFootprint&resultOffset= &resultRecordCount=&returnTrueCurves=false&returnExceededLimitFeatures=false&quantizationParameters= &returnCentroid=false&sqlFormat=none&resultType=none&featureEncoding=esriDefault&f=pjson I believe this is a simple query and should not throw exceptions. Please let me know if I’m missing anything here. Layer settings are as follows: (which I believe are correct for a given query to run) Supports Advanced Queries: true Advanced Query Capabilities: Supports Statistics: true Supports OrderBy: true Supports Distinct: true Supports Pagination: true Supports TrueCurve: true Supports Returning Query Extent: true Supports Query With Distance: true Supports Sql Expression: true Supports Query With ResultType: true Supports Returning Geometry Centroid: false Supports Binning LOD: false Supports Query With LOD Spatial Reference: false Thanks for any help in advance.

Hi We need to apply the buffer around layers i.e (polygon, line or point) which could be feature, MapTile or vector layer, and also if we select some feature in the layer then only to the selected feature. We know GeometryEngine.Buffer() method creates buffers that accept Geometry and buffer distance as parameters. So our question is how to get all the geometries in the layer and the geometry of the selected features in the layer. Also, how we can delete the buffer from the layer too. Any tips would be helpful.

Hi, We have successfully setup OpenID Connect login to the ArcGIS Portal. When the user access the portal trough our identity provider (Identity Server 4), a user is automatically created and he gets the default groups that are setup in "New member defaults". What we are wondering is if there is way for us to automatically assign the user to groups according to some claims in the access token or some parameters in the user info object? We are aware of the API that can be use to assign user to group programmatically and we are using that to make sure that the user groups are consistent with our our authorization system, but we want to make sure they are correctly assign on the first login (in order to avoid the situation where the user does not have group until the synchronization is run)

After another attempt we found that parameter. Setting that to true was the solution. For anyone still wondering, you can find that at the bottom, when you try to edit the configuration. Organization -> Settings -> Security -> Logins-> Configure login

Should I look for that option in the ArcGIS Online/Portal or on the Identity Server? On the server the closes thing there is this parameter and that is set to true.

I do not think that is the case. In the OIDC configuration we have "openid email profile" and I can confirm that the client in the Identity Server is setup in the way to allow those scopes.

Unfortunately, SAML is not an option for us at the moment. Our guess is they are expecting some non-standard parameter to be returned in the token.

Hi, We are trying to setup an OpenID Connection to our ArcGIS Online. All the necessary configurations were done on our Identity Provider and in the ArcGIS Online admin panel. The button appeared on the login screen and after pressing we are redirected to the Identity Provider. After successful authentication the server redirects back to the portal and an error message is displayed. Did not receive 'user profile' parameter from the provider. Can you provide more details what might be the problem? This is the response format that the identity provider returns from the user info endpoint As Identity Provider we are using Identity Server 4. The grant type for this client is authorization_code We tried looking into documentation, but there is nothing about this error. Thanks for your help.

Thanks for your response. After trying GetLegendInfosAsync () on the sublayer it returned null as a result and Status as Waiting for Activation. Anything we need to configure on on the Tile Service? see below snapshot

Hi Could you please assist with how we can fetch legends from the Map Tiles service? Below is the sample code, we have consumed the tile by URL which is rendered successfully to the map view. ArcGISTiledLayer layer = new ArcGISTiledLayer(new Uri(LayerUrl)) ; await baseLayer.LoadAsync(); var legends = layer.GetLegendInfosAsync(); However, GetLegendInfosAsync() does not return the legend associated with the tile service. Thanks 🙂 in advance

Hi Nicholas Thanks for your reply. As I can understand from your suggested approach that while loading the vector layer I should also load the associated Feature layer with opacity 0 so that the feature layer won't display in the map view but it would be available in the result of IdentifyLayersAsync(). I think it can work. I need to discuss this with the team this approach and let's see.

Hi, Thank you for the advice about feature tiles. This is something we may use in the future, too. However, now we want to use vector tiles. Ideally, we would like to replicate in our application the same approach with a pop-up for vector tile layer as it is in ArcGIS Pro. We managed to display layers from Vector Tiles and have them associated with corresponding Feature Services on the backend of the application (similar as in ArcGIS Pro in attached image4). The problem is how to identify those Vector Tile layers when a user clicks somewhere in the map to know which Feature Services to request for pop-up (similar as in ArcGIS Pro in attached image5). Is there no alternative to get the vector tiles layers loaded at the selected point? we just need the id of the vector tiles as we have all the layers available in the operational layers to fetch the desired information. Also, we have found that for the vector tiled layer, the IsIdentityEnabled property is always false. Looks like the default behaviour which we can't change. Thanks for your support in advance!

Hi In my mapview if I load a ArcGISVectorTiledLayer and when I select at any point on that layer then IdentifyLayersAsync always returns 0 items. Here is the sample code where the position is the selected coordinates. It works very well if I select any feature layer in my map view. var results = View.MainMapView.IdentifyLayersAsync(position, 5, false, 1, _displayPopupCancellationTokenSource.Token); Any leads would be helpful. Thanks

Hi, in MapView I am using SketchEditor to draw a circle. What I currently managed to implement is to draw the circle and listen to the event GeometryChanged. At that moment I have access to the drawn object and I can calculate the radius after the circle is drawn. What I want to achieve is to continuously calculate and show the radius while the circle is being drawn, i.e. before the user releases the mouse click and the event GeometryChanged is fired. Is this possible to implement? I couldn't find an event that is fired while the circle is being drawn. I am using the latest sdk version 100.10
