I have a process where I will copy a utility annotation layer from my organization's enterprise geodatabase into a local file geodatabase. I then update this annotation layer so that I can be able to edit it in ArcGIS Pro. It would seem that, up until ArcGIS Pro 3.0, I could then edit all features in this annotation layer. Now, since I upgraded my ArcPro version to 3.0 & then 3.1, I always seem to get an error when I attempt to edit anno features with leader lines. The error I get when trying to save my edits is "Edit operation failed. Cannot convert polylines or polygons with curves to JSON format." Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a solution or work-around that is known to anyone in the community? Thanks!

I'd humbly like to offer my 2-cents, if I may. I found that when I have a failed tile cache update job, similar (if not identical) to the problem listed on this thread I do the following: Turn off the ArcGIS Server service (e.g. 'net stop "ArcGIS Server"') and then wait 2 minutes Delete all '*tmp.bundle', '*.bundle.lock', and '*.freelist' files, in the arcgiscache folders for each affected map service - it seems that ArcGIS Server releases any file system holds or locks on these files after the "ArcGIS Server" service is shut down. I chose to do this manually, during normal business hours Also, even after the "ArcGIS Server" service is restarted, these files can be deleted (if no one is trying to consume the service) Start the ArcGIS Server service (e.g. 'net start "ArcGIS Server"') I think at this point, the map tiles could be successfully updated (as long as no client is consuming the service). I chose to wait an extra day before updating the tiles in order to be careful and make sure that nothing at that point had broken. The next 'time of no demand' (e.g. 12:30 AM), turn off the "ArcGIS Server" service and wait for 2 minutes Restart the "ArcGIS Server" service and wait for 5 minutes Regenerate the map tiles (e.g. using the arcpy.ManageMapServerCacheTiles_server gp tool) My plan for preventing this issue, until I can install the 'Map Cache Consumption' patch, is (via python script ran by a scheduled task late at night): Turn off the ArcGIS Server service and pause for 2 minutes Restart the ArcGIS Server service and pause for 5 minutes Regenerate the Map tiles (e.g. using the arcpy.ManageMapServerCacheTiles_server gp tool) I think that, once the temp/lock files are removed and after 'bouncing' the ArcGIS Server service, the update process should run successfully - if no one is consuming the tiles of the service in question. I could be wrong - it's only been 3 or 4 successful updates using this method - but so far it looks promising. NOTE: I am running ArcGIS for Server v10.2.2, Windows 2008 R2 OS, single server deployment. - Robb

I'd like there to be a 'Construct Point' GP tool (within the Features toolset of the Data Management toolbox) that would place a point at a user given distance (or proportion) along a line. Then this point could be offset, at a user defined distance orthogonally, either left or right, from the point's original line. The resultant point should have the same attributes as it's originating line.
