This is Jack Henderson. I currently work for the River Management Society (RMS). We're a national membership-based, non-profit organization dedicated to connecting those who work on and for rivers with their river professional peers, along with providing tools to assist those who manage, protect and recreate on rivers. Our diverse membership includes outfitters and guides, rangers, planners and landscape architects, fluvial geomorphologists, environmental lawyers and policymakers, students, professors, researchers and authors. I current lead the National River Recreation Database and National Rivers Project. The National River Recreation Database is a geospatial portfolio of information on Wild & Scenic Rivers, water trails, whitewater rivers, access points and campgrounds within the United States. The National Rivers Project is the website serving to help identify, explore and plan trips on rivers within the database. Together, comprehensive river recreation and management information is provided for paddlers and resource managers. The full project is hosted and maintained through Esri ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online. I'll departing my post on this project at the end of August, but we've hired a new person to coordinate the project, and he's aware of this Esri resource. I also do a variety of conservation GIS consulting work in western North Carolina, where I live. I'm thankful to be part of this group! Feel free to reach out any time.
