Hi Guenter, Thank you. I will read the workflow links you provided. Yes, I understand this forum is not suppose to replace individual training needs. I am about to get in touch with our organisation's ESRI relationship manager about this anyway. But one thing for sure, the advise I received from you guys over last couple of days were far far superior than what I received from ESRI customer service so far! Regards, Mohammed

Hi Cody, Thank you for your kind reply. I am aware of the Arithmetic function. But I have approximately 10000 raster tiles spread over 7 different folder and around 300 of them from one source are in mm. so if I were to apply function I would have to do it individually, isn't it? And just found few of them are in 64bit where my mosaic dataset is 32bit float! I can see all of you have in depth knowledge on Mosaic dataset. Would it be possible to discuss my mosaic workflow with any of you? I kind of learn it by experimenting it. An expert look would really help me. Many thank s, Mohammed

Hi Guenter and Perter, Thank you very much to both of you. It has been a great help. I am developing lidar DSM and DTM mosaic for Scotland (all available data in public sector). It is a fairly large dataset and going through some hard time to maintain it, especially trying to add new raster to the existing dataset!! I am sure I will ask more question in future. Thank you again, Mohammed

Hi Guenter, Thank you very much. An excellent suggestion, I never used this tool but I can see how useful it will be for me. Just one more thing, when I was using raster calculator to convert the z value from mm to m I tried to use both con and setnull to make sure nodata value -9999 stay as it is and rest changes to m. But it was converting the -9999 as well! con statement I used is Con("test3" != -9999, "test3"*0.001, "test3"). Thank you again.

Hi Peter, Where do I set the NoData property off? I was using raster calculator/Times tools to convert them from mm to m, approximately 150 raster tiles. And then I was adding them to the mosaic dataset- calculate statistics - build overview. Thank you.

Hi, I have some lidar DTM in mm that needs to be converted into meter keeping the Nodata value as it is (i.e. -9999). Converting them to M is fine but it changes the NoData value and causes problem when I tried to create Mosaic dataset overview . Could someone please help me on this? Many thanks, Rajib

Thank you guys for kind suggestions. I am trying to follow the Guenter suggestion first then to Curtis (i.e. I am not good at python..) as ultimately dataset will be saved in SDE as a mosaic. Guenter your suggestion is straight forward. My .dbf (it already has the raster file path) file is displaying as wire frame in arcmap but struggling to load it as a raster catalog and view the raster itself!!

I have hundreds of old aerial photographs in JPG format and a separate dbf file containg xmin, ymin, xmax, ymax. So far I have been unable to associate these geo-reference to the respective image. Any suggestions on how to add this to the image would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi, I am trying to add a .csv/.xls file to a mosaic footprint. csv/.xls file contain information that I would like add to the footprint. However, when the .csv/.xls file is joined with the attribute table it lost the information within it. Hence, doesn't allow me to populate the attribute field of the footprint. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you

Hi Rajib, Can you merge the shapefiles into one large file and then use Summary Stats? You would need to make sure you have a field that identifies the original shapefile in your merged file. Then use that field as the Case field in SumStats. /Nooski Thanks Nooski. I have tried to merge but in the model it was not giving me a satisfactory result. However, I have found a slightly better way to do that, by creating empty shape file in file geodatabase and append all into it. It worked as I expected. Cheers, Rajib
