Hello. I have a polygon layer representing property parcels. Each parcel includes owner name. I am trying to dissolve the parcels using the owner name as the dissolve field. However, I would like to dissolve only those parcels that are within a given proximity/distance to each other, say 50 meters. For example, two or more parcels with the same owner name would only be dissolved if they were within 50 meters of each other. If a parcel is not within 50 meters of another parcel with the same owner name then it would not be dissolved. Unfortunately, the polygons in this layer are not always contiguous because, for example, they may be separated by a road or river, so simply turning off the Create Multipart Features option won't work. I've been playing around with lots of different approaches to this, including buffering/dissolving/identity, but so far I'm not having much luck. Is what I'm trying to do possible? Thanks in advance.

I created a file geodatabase in ArcMap 10.8. I then created several raster mosaics and imported a Sentinel-2 image and various elevation layers. Everything worked fine. I then imported the ArcMap project with the raster layers into ArcGIS Pro 2.5. The project imported successfully including the layers, however when I try to access the geodatabase it appears empty. In both Catalog view and pane there's a message that says "This container is empty". Can anyone advise what I'm doing wrong here. Thank you.

Hi. I'm trying to transfer a licence from one computer to another. Have successfully inactivated on one computer and am trying to complete installing on the other. Have entered the authorization # in the "Software Authorization Number" box but the "Next" button is greyed out. Any suggestions? It has been suggested that there may be a delay on ESRI's end between the inactivation on one computer and when that authorization # can be used for the other (?). I have checked the authorization # and it is correct.

Hello. Wondering if anyone else has run into this problem. I am running ArcGIS 10.6.1 on Windows 10. Months ago I created a file geodatabase and imported various layers. Until a few days ago I have had no problems with editing and updating layers as required. Now, however, when I attempt to start an edit session on any layer in the gdb I receive the following error message: "Warning: Check to see that you have the appropriate permissions" The help files don't provide much insight. Using the windows explorer I have ensured that the gdb is not read-only. I am able to edit layers in other gdbs with no issues. I'm also able to edit stand alone shapefiles. I've tried copying and pasting the gdb, but have the same problem. I even upgraded from ArcGIS 10.6 to 10.6.1 in a vain attempt to fix the problem. Am I missing something? Thank you, Peter

This seems like it should be straightforward, but for some reason I can't figure it out. Hopefully there is a way to fix this. I have created a very basic map in ArcGIS online. The map displays points which represent conservation lands protected through the organization that I work for. I have completed the map, and made it public for everyone. Eventually we would like to embed this map in our own webpage for people to explore info about our properties. The problem I've run into is that once I've made the map publicly accessible to everyone, then anyone viewing the map is able to edit it. I have disabled editing of the layers before making it public, but it seems that all users need to do is to simply enable editing again (by clicking the arrow next to the layer, and enabling editing), and then they can change, add or delete points. This is true for someone who isn't even logged into ArcGIS.com. Is there a way to disable editing of maps by the general public. Thanks, Peter
