I have published a hostad layer with sub-types and it works OK for new features in Field Maps, even offline-mode (tested on android). Editing with WebMap client (not Classic), or experience bilder app, even with WAB-app, works perfect. But changing the main sub-type field in Field Maps on an existing feature, wont trigger other fields to change the domain correspondendly. This need to be fixad by ESRI. Or have anyone got this to work?

Another source of problem when paste fails is that the integrety of your FGDB might be bad. Recently, I had some layers with attatchments and other related tables (relationship classes). I renamed these in my FGDB to fit the naming convention in my Enterprise geodatabase. This caused the relationship classes to stop working, even if by a quick inspection of the relation properties, it seemed correctly related to the feature classes and tables with the new name. However, testing the relation in ArcMap showed that the relation was broken. I had to delete the relationship classes (and delete attachments) to create it all again after renaming the FCs/tables. Then I could copy/paste without any problem.

I had the same issue that appeared after I upgraded my ArcMap from 10.5.1 to 10.7.1. The GP results revealed that the server parameter was NOT automatically assigned when I shared the map as a service (overwrite existing). From the same mxd document opened on another computer with the same desktop version (10.7.1) it worked. By deleting and recreating the ags-connection (admin), I got it to work again.

The search widget popup is nice, but it doesnt honor the popup configured for the same layer that it searched against. The Web App Builder Application shouldnt show diffrent popup content for the same feature. This only confuses the user. Some fields are filtered out, or added through popup configuration in the Web Map. Most importantly, the user often need to search for a feature in order to edit it. I have noticed that double clicking on the feature in the attribute table show the correct popup. But searching for a feature by filtering the attribute table, in order to get a popup that can be editable, is not a very user friendly work flow. Sure this behaviour can be achived with Web App Builder developer edition, but this feature is needed in all applications that uses the edit widget and the search widget on editable data. /Thanks

I have my features editable, but for the same reason I cant get the search widget result popup to switch to edit mode. The Edit-option is simply not available as it is when the web map layer popup is shown. Its quite frustrating since i have many point objects ontop on each other, and I want to search for a specific point and edit attributes and location.

Thanks for your answer. I understand the challange with large image sizes and the lack of thumbnails regarding our workflow with field surveys. Maybe I can export feature data with images as files with python scripts or arcobjects, reducing image quality and create thumbnails, to create the data required for a Story Map. I felt like I was very close when I had everything already availible on my maps on ArcGIS Online. I will try it again when there is a FS attachment support on the shortlist template. And I will urge the need for reducing image quality settings on the tables taking those pictures. You are doing a marvelous work developing content on ArcGIS Online/Portal. Keep it coming! 🙂

The "Story Map Shortlist (beta)" is most attractive for our business. I have made some tests with "Story Map Tour" as well.

I like the concept of Story Maps, and it really adds qualiy to the end user. But why cant I use Story Maps with data exposed as services from our ArcGIS Server, with images as attachments? Shouldnt ESRI support their own data format and protocols in these templates? I create alot of web maps and "web application builder"-maps to bring GIS-data along with field photos to the end user, but I dont have an URL to my images. Most images are created with Collector. Maybe I can calculate the url to the image provided by the popup in my web map, back to the attribute table somehow. Any ideas?

To select multiple services for your report in the statistics section of your ArcGIS Server Manager, can be really slow and painful. For each checkbox selected you have to wait until Manager have extracted the data and showing it on the graph. Some kind of batch selection method would be nice here, for example ctrl+click to select/unselect all services in current service folder. Another way of solving this would be to expand the "Usage Reports Configuration" in the ArcGIS Server Administration Directory with a checkbox to set automatic update on the graph to true/false, and if set to false, users would see a "update graph"-button on the statistics web page in AGS Manager.

So, this error is related to diffrent SOC-processes trying to edit at the same time? Will it still be a good solution if you set max 1 instance, but you configure the service to low-isolation, therby utilizing 1 SOC, but say 3 instances per process? My scenario is 2-3 concurrent field workers, online-editing. Is Registered as Versioned a better confuguration for this?

I tried some quick tests of GetVersionInfo in a C# Add-In, and see the same problem. If I cast the current IMxDocument to an IMapDocument, it results in a "Not implemented" exception on the GetVersionInfo call. If I use IMapDocument.Open on the path to either the current document or a hard-coded path to a different existing document, the GetVersionInfo call succeeds, but returns true, -1, -1, -1, -1. I will poke around a bit more tomorrow... -Jeff I experience the exact same problem. I use an ArcGIS Engine 10.1 application in which the user can browse to a mxd-document to apply another template to the PageLayout. I need to validate that the selected mxd-file is 10.0 or 10.1. It is kind of strange, because the GetVersionInfo method give me correct version numbers when I select an old 9.3.1 mxd-file. Im using the exact same code. From an ArcGIS Desktop 10.1 installation, I have created 10.0, 9.3, 9.2 and 8.3 mxd documents using "save a copy", but the call fails for all documents by returning true, -1, -1, -1, -1. I have even created a new 9.3 document with 9.3 Desktop installation but the call to GetVersionInfo fail the same way. Can anyone bring some light on this issue? /Peter

Hi Im using VS2008 and C# to run a GPProcess with a geoprocessor object. I need to access the IGPEnvironmentManager from the GeoProcessor object. In the old school (prior ArcGIS 9.2 and Visual Basic) this was simple because you created a gp object from the CreateObject("geoprocessing.gpdispatch.1") which was QI:able to the IGPComHelper which gives you access to the IGPEnvironmentManager. How can I do this from the managed GeoProcessor object in C#?
