We are running and old version of Northrop Grumman CommandPointCAD (Cobol-based) with an Altaris Mapping system. We are also in the process of upgrading CommandPoint to its latest release along with upgrading the mapping component (ViewPoint) to leverage the use of ESRI’s ArcGIS server technology to publish and consume services to provide mapping, address validation and routing services. In terms of our issue with clipping the StreetMap Premium data to a smaller extent, we have reached out to ESRI to see what can be done in this respect. According to ESRI, the original geographic extent of the dataset does not impact the performance of the routing algorithms because the algorithms dynamically generate the extent of the dataset to be used by the routing algorithm based on the beginning/ending stops for any given route.

I have deployed an ArcGIS server in a DMZ environment and I am having problems authorizing the software using the software authorization wizard. The wizard goes thru four steps: 1. Connecting to ESRI. 2. Uploading the wizard-collected information 3. Authorizing the software. 4. Sending back software authorization file. The process fails in step four: I use the same method to authorize software for deployments not in the DMZ without a problem. I am assuming that the perimeter firewall at the DMZ is blocking the incoming software authorization file. Does anyone know what ports are used during the software authorization process?

Just looking to minimize the footprint of the StreetMap Premium data set (about 60GB for us). It would be better management-wise if it could be loaded into a shared drive that is network-accessible to all the ArcGIS servers involved in the publishing of the services available for consuming the StreetMap Premium data and functionality. It really would be nice.

We are in the process of deploying StreetMap Premium in our 9-1-1 dispatch center here in Glendale, CA. The first issue that we have encountered has to do with the geographic extent of the original data set which is the state of California. The main concern is performance degradation based on the original extent of the "out -of-the-box" data set. We would prefer to have smaller geo-extent and we are looking for ways to clip the original extent from statewide to countywide. We have reached out to ESRI for guidance/help in this task.

In a single-machine deployment of Enterprise (10.5.1) what would be the cause for ArcGIS server to not bind port 6443 to the executable? This issue comes up when attempting to configure IIS web adaptor to ArcGIS server. SSL is enabled and proper SSL certs are installed. This behaviour is strange given the fact that I was able to successfully configure the IIS Web connector to Portal for ArcGIS using port 7443. I have verified that the firewall allows traffic via port 6443 using a port listener tool that temporarily binds itself to port 6443 and running netstat to verify that the port is listening. I have also run a tasklist command to get the process id for ArcGISServer.exe and then ran netstat to identify the ports bound to it . Port 6099 is listed but no 6443. What am I missing?
