I've implemented a 'route between points' site using the 4.7 JavaScript API. The logic works fine, but I'm having a graphical display issue: when a point is picked up and dragged to a new location it doesn't redraw intermittently, the mouse simply drags an invisible point to the new location, where it reappears. The 'update' event fires every time the mouse moves, but the graphics layer won't redraw on the screen, even when cloning the graphic, deleting it from the graphics layer, and re-adding it - the usual fix for a graphic not re-drawing upon being edited. Oddly, everything works fine if the user zooms in or out of the map while gripping the point. Things start drawing, and the greyOutAllRouteLines function (which sets the colour of every line on the map to grey, to indicate that with the shifted point they're now out of date) works as advertised. In both cases the remove/clone/re-add method is required, otherwise nothing redraws regardless of map interaction. It feels like the graphics layers are being updated quite happily while the 'update' events are firing, but they aren't being prompted to re-draw until the map is interacted with, at which point they function as expected. Here's the event handler:

Hey Matt, It's one of the funkier parts of the format, and I agree that it can be frustrating, particularly because it can cause the map to zoom out on load rather than clipping to the extent defined in the underlying webmap. In my experience your best bet is defining a data collection area by referencing an uneditable polygon ('Name of an uneditable polygon layer' in the 'Form' tab) and setting the initial search radius to something fairly significant - my latest CSR has a search radius of 2000km. There may be a better way to solve the issue, particularly if you're able to download and host it locally, but as a predominantly AGOL-only user I'm yet to find one.

Hey Rupert, Sorry for the lack of response - we ended up moving to a tabbed Map Series due to a tight timeline, so unfortunately I don't have all that much extra information. I'm unable to share the URL, but if it would be useful for your own troubleshooting I'd be happy to share it through a private AGOL group.

Hi there, I'm having issues with a Shortlist Story Map embedded within a Cascade. It's a production project and the issue is proving very hard to reproduce, so unfortunately I can't include screenshots. The shortlist contains 5 tabs with about 18 projects split between them, each with a simple graphic and text. All editing was done within the Story Map editor - no JSON manipulation at all. One client is intermittently experiencing a graphical problem when clicking on the left and right arrows to scroll between projects. The functionality is fine, but the slider of projects following the current one is displaying over top of the map, rather than being hidden until it reaches the left panel. Essentially you can see three slides of content on the screen at once, with only the currently selected one displaying in the text + image window, and the rest displaying correctly but on top of the map. The client tells me this occurs fairly frequently, and with no obvious triggers - although he suspects it is a loading issue, because after visiting all projects within a tab the problem resolves itself. This error is occurring in Explorer and Chrome, although I don't yet know which versions. I haven't seen any mention of this online - has anyone had a similar problem? Cheers for any assistance.
