Thanks @NicoBonnafoux for showing me where this is located in the platform! That explains why I didn't see it. I was looking in 2D and 3D Mesh view but not Cloud. I look forward to seeing the new tool coming to the 3D Mesh view soon.

Hi folks, I'm giving Site Scan a demo/trial and have been post-processing some former flights I have conducted. I've been looking around in the Site Scan Manager Web App for a tool to create cross-sections or elevation profiles based on map markup. Is this possible? If so where is the tool? I know this can be done in Portal or AGOL but ideally, I'm looking to see this provided natively in Site Scan for users. I love that volumetrics can be generated on the fly and saved and I am looking to do the same for cross-sections. The background use case is for open pit mining applications.

Dean this was super helpful. We had some pages with tags that had been copied and pasted in on mistake that would not delete no matter what we tried until I found your advice on using the metadata tab to delete them. We’re on Portal 10.7.1 for reference.

Interestingly I found a web app template from esri, the crowd source polling template. While it is not intended to use for Survey123 results, it works quite well actually and especially on smartphones and tablets. In addition, results from the app in iOS can easily be saved to a pdf for emailing. I further integrated this "work-around" solution by linking it back to the item details page within the Survey123 form. I think at least for the immediate need this will work until something better comes along.

I wanted to start a conversation to see if other GIS users have a similar need with generating reports from Survey123. Here's the scenario... Mobile filed workers (drillers) in a mine site use Survey123 to complete workplace exams and pre-shift safety inspections on heavy equipment per federal guidelines. The guidelines state that individuals must be able to produce record of report on the spot if a federal inspector arrives on scene at any given time. Currently, field workers using Survey123 to record these records use the inbox/outbox feature within the app to re-open a previously submitted report if needed (not ideal) to visually show an inspector if requested. However, ideally I would like the field workers to be able to use the report generator from the desktop accessible Survey123 dashboard under the data tab from their smart devices. While it is not impossible to generate and download a report from the website on smartphone, it is not a workflow that is practical for implementation as it is tricky to navigate to the page and press the buttons etc. My question to the group is...Have others also found themselves in a similar dilemma needing to produce reports from Survey123 that could be emailed or texted from smartphone while in the field and on the spot? If so, how are you dealing with this (custom implementations with Zapier or Microsoft flow maybe) ? What functionality options could we propose to ESRI for implementation to the product to help with this need? Is there a url scheme for this? Could one be implemented? Could buttons added within the app for report generation and sharing mediums perhaps? I look forward to hearing some thoughts and experience around this. Thanks, Charlie C.

I knew this function had to be hiding in Pro. The part I was missing is that initiating the rotate tool and pressing A on the keyboard is not enough to enable as in ArcMap. In order to get the Angle window to open I had to actually have the rotate cursor appear on the screen and hover the cursor over the green circle. Otherwise, it would not open that dialog. I may be making a stretch here but it seems it would be helpful for the UX team to enable this function on selection of the rotate tool when a feature is selected. Rather than having to also hover over the green circle before this option is enabled. Either way I've got what I need now. Thanks guys!

Does anyone know how to use the rotate editing tool in ArcGIS Pro to rotate a feature by an exact degree? This can be done in ArcMap and I can't figure out how to do this in pro. In ArcMap to achieve this you do the following. Click the Rotate tool on the Editor toolbar. Click anywhere on the map and drag the pointer to rotate the feature to the desired orientation. To specify the exact degree of rotation, press the A key, and type the number of degrees. The angle is applied relative to the current orientation. A positive number rotates the feature to the right; a negative number rotates it to the left. Angular units are determined by the angular or direction units setting on the Units tab of the Editing Options dialog box. I cannot find this functionality in ArcGIS Pro.

I got a call this morning from some mobile field workers who just began using the new Collector app last week (1/20/2019) with this very same issue. Again, with the old "Classic App" we never experienced this problem either. The troubling issue for me back in the office however is that these points do not exist in the feature table. It is as if they were never collected. Robb Hodges When you say close out of the program and reopen are you meaning to have the mobile workers close the app and at second look the points appear for them? Are they then having to resubmit? Or what has your experience been? We're feeling that we also will have to go back to the Classic App for the time being. I'm really not wanting to because I also have an arcade expression that is being used on the feature service that isn't visible in the old app, only the new collector.

For my use case what we are looking to do is have a URL in the popup for Collector that would allow a field data collector upon finishing a task (collecting a new data point) to go back to workforce and mark the task as completed. In my scenario a mobile worker is using Workforce to open a task (log a drill-hole for mining). Once they start the task in workforce they are prompted to open collector and record the drillhole. Once they finish submitting this info, I'd like them to have a way to easily jump back over to Workforce in the correct project and linked task to mark as completed. Hence the thought behind a URL scheme that could be used in a custom popup inside collector with a hyper link "Mark completed in Workforce" or something similar linking back to the project and task associated.

I know this thread is older but I thought I'd share that you can open workforce with a url scheme using arcgis-workforce:// I'm not sure if ESRI has come up with an action to invoke a particular project of assignment yet.

It would be greatly beneficial to have contours as a product type in addition to DTM, DSM, and Ortho for this new tool as other platforms have done including esri’s drone2map and other third party platforms such as propeller aero. While this can of course be achieved in ArcGIS Pro, having this available as apart of the package would help to bridge the gap for non gis professionals using enterprise to be able to quickly create these vectors with a single operation.
